Gumbo Limbo Environmental Complex

1801 N. Ocean Blvd., Boca Raton, this 20-acre complex has been reserved for the protection and preservation of a natural plant association known as a tropical hammock. Among the indigenous vegetation can be found rare and endangered species of wildlife, such as the brown pelican, osprey, sea turtles, and the manatee.

Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens

4000 Morikami Park Rd., Delray Beach, this tranquil garden dates back to 1905, and the 200-acre museum and Japanese gardens, was a gift to the Palm Beach County and the State of Florida from George Sukei Morikami. Attractions include a waterfall flowing into a moat filled with koi and carp, an extensive bonsai collection, a garden for meditation, and a pathway taking the visitor through about seven miles of gardens. International Museum of Cartoon Art

201 Plaza Real at Mizner Park, Boca Raton, this is a great place for cartoon freaks, set in a glamorous home with gallery space of 52,000 sq ft. Not only can cartoon fans see work by some of the greatest exponents of this wacky art, but also they can buy posters, book and memorabilia at the gift shop.

34th Annual Holiday Street Parade

On Wednesday, December 8, Boca Raton’s yearly street parade will take place from 7.30 pm, along the Federal Highway from S.E. 8th Street, north to Mizner Park, with the theme "These Are A Few of My Favourite Things". South Beach Park

The Coconut Grove Playhouse
