Plage de l'Ecluse

This is dinard's main beach and is also known as La Grande Plage. It is the strip of sand between the peninsulas that define the edges of the old town. It is very popular with families and holidaymakers, and gets crowded on hot days.

This is the place to go for some fun in the sun, there are also plenty of shops and cafes, that offer anything you could need.

Sea Museum

This museum houses exhibitions which document the explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot, and his boat the Porquoi Pas which was built locally. The museum documents Jean-Baptiste Charcot's polar adventures, which took place at the beginning of the 20th century. There are many interesting things to see in the museum and it is not to be missed. The museum is open April to October from 10h00 12h00 and 14h00 - 18h00. Admission is $5.40 for adults; and $3 for children and students

Musee du Site Balneaire

This interesting museum houses exhibitions that document the history of Dinard, and it's development into a seaside resort, and Brittany region. There are many informative displays throughout the museum and it is a must for history buffs. The museum is open April to October from 10h00 - 12h00 and 14h00- 18h00. Admission is $5.40 for adults; and $3 for children and students.

Casino Barriere de Dinard

4 boulevard Wilson, on the waterfront. The casino is the place to go if you're looking to have some fun and play a few games. It offers a wide range of facilities, including a restaurant; a bar; 100 slot machines; 4 Roulette tables; 2 black jack tables; a stud poker table; and 2 boule tables. The casino is open from 10h00 - 03h00 on weekdays and from 10h00 - 04h00 on weekends. Formal dress is required, and there is a $13.20 entrance fee to the table games room.

Le Prieure

1 place du General-de-Gaulle. This family, 1900 style restaurant is full of seafaring bric-a-brac. They serve traditional food and the portions are massive. Some of the dishes on the menu include, sauteed sole in beurre blanc with baby potatoes; and grilled salmon with a stir-fry of seasonal vegetables. Desserts like creme caramel are an excellent way to round off a great meal. The view out over the La Rance estuary is absolutly breathtaking. The restaurant is open Tuesday to Sunday from 12h30 - 14h00; and Tuesday to Saturday from 19h30 - 21h00. Reservations are recommended as the restaurant is very popular.

Plage du Prieure

Located about ten minutes walk from the centre of Dinard. This beach is another great spot to sit back and relax, taking a break away from the hustle and bustle of the other tourists centres. There are many trees that give shade to the beach and there are swimming pool-style basins along the beach where you can swim. The beachfront also has a few cafes where you can enjoy a drink or a meal, while watching the ocean.

Grand Hotel Barriere de Dinard

46 av. George-V. This hotel is the largest and most popular one in Dinard, and dates back to 1859. It is located 2 minutes from the town centre and has an amazing view of the harbour. The hotel has two towers, which are separated by a outdoor heated swimming pool. There are a range of facilities on offer, including a restaurant; a bar; an indoor pool; a fitness center; a sauna; room service; babysitting; and laundry services. The traditional and comfortable rooms have TV; minibar; telephone; hair dryer; and a full bathroom.

Shopping

rue du Marechal-Leclerc; rue Levavasseur; and boulevard du President-Wilson. These are the main shopping streets in Dinard, and great for taking a relaxing stroll while browsing through what is on offer. The shops along these streets sell a wide range of goods, including men's and ladies fashion; arts and sculptures; local arts and crafts; gifts; local food; and all sorts of other interesting items.

Le Dinard Golf

Located just out of Dinard at St-Briac. This is one of the best golf courses in Brittany, it is a par-68 18 hole golf course. The golf course is set on sandy terrain, which is studded with tough grasses; durable trees and shrubs. The greens fees are around $54, depending on the season. There are golf carts available for rent, as well as a limited number of golf clubs can also be rented.

Plage de St Enogat

Located just out of Dinard, by St Enogat. This smaller and slightly isolated beach is a great place to go if you're looking for a more private and peaceful day in the sun, where you can relax and enjoy some quiet time, away from the more crowded tourist beaches closer to Dinard.

There are a few cafes and shops located on the beachfront, which offer snacks; refreshments; and meals.
