Some call it magic when nature and architecture meet in perfect harmony. That's what it's like at Morningside Estate. The Frank Lloyd Wright inspired house that was 15 years in the making sits above the waters of the South Finlayson Arm of the Saanich Inlet Fiord on Vancouver Island.The main house is a 5 star five bedroom dwelling crafted out of rock and glass. Each of the bedrooms is magnificently appointed in authentic arts and crafts appointments. Each bedroom has a deck; an air jetted tub and most have their own fireplace. The Main Suite is entered by going up a custom-made staircase above the indoor garden. The second bedroom has a handicap bathroom. The 1000 sq feet of living space of the master bedroom is beautifully appointed with cherry wood. Attached to the suite is a large glassed gazebo for tea and afternoon reflections looking out over the Inlet. At the back of the suite is a large deck overlooking the swimming pool, hot tub, waterfall and beautiful decks below.The great room and the dining room each have a massive fireplace created in the Frank Lloyd Wright style, each room is large enough to host a party of 50 or more. Outside the stone patio curve around the building bending here and there sometime hugging the glass wall at the edge of the cliff and sometimes opening into an expanse suitable for entertaining.The kitchen is a large island base show kitchen meant for catering to a crowd. The grounds cover almost 8 acres and they go from forest, to culture gardens to shoreline. The dock is a deepwater dock, which can manage almost any sized vessel or float plane. The cultured gardens introduce the visitor to things that are completely unexpected in Canada. A rich array of fruit including bananas, grow on the property. The property abounds in edible delights. In the fall there are grapes and olives, in the summer cherries and peaches. Come enjoy Morningside where the livin' is easy.Located 20 minutes north of Victoria off the Trans Canada Highway.

| Morningside Estate is located on the Saanich Inlet near Victoria, BC on Vancouver Island. Although we are very close to the city, it feel like wilderness coastline. There is NO roads or traffic noise nearby...just the odd sailboat drifting by. This property is definately for those who value their privacy. The property is serviced during the summer months by water taxi at the dock. It goes back and forth between Brentwood Bay Marina (Butchart Gardens) and Morningside Dock. Access tpo the property is by private road, float plane or yacht. |

You will enjoy staying in a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired designer house, situated on the shores of the Saanich Inlet fijord. The main house is almost 5000 square feet with more that 100 windows, all designed to provide the ultimate view of the truly awesome natural setting.
The house and the funishings are all representative of the signature architecture of one of the worlds greatest architects. The common areas in the house are massive, with great fireplaces, indoor Koi pool, garden and other amenities.
The pool area is the place to be in the summer! The pool is perched 50' above the ocean and is nestled into a large rock outcrop, The rock outcrop provides both warmth and drama to the outdoor experience. The pool deck is very private and has a lovely hot tub for romantic evenings.
The Decks
Decks surround all of the dwellings. There are other decks above and below the main house that provide you with a quiet place to read, sun tan or just about anything else. The privacy of a wilderness with the convenience of an exclusive resort.
The Dock
The dock is located directly below the house. The end of the dock is in 50' of water at low tide, making it possible for just about any recreational class yacht to dock safely.

For the scuba divers, there is a dock that provides easy entry into the water to one of the finest diving areas in BC. Dive boats come for miles around to Morningside for the rare and unusual things they find. (Morningside does not have air or dive rental gear available on site) These are readily available in Victoria .
Other sporting activities can be arranged for you ranging from biking, hiking, flying, golfing, boat rentals, river tubing, guided fishing trips and a host of other things Vancouver Island has to offer.
The Gardens
If you are a plant lover, the Morningside gardens will provide you with hours of delight.
Palms, bananas, critus fruit, an olive grove? Yes! and much more.
Southern VI has a climate similar to the Med. We have the plants to prove it!
