The large beamed farmhouse kitchen has a pine table with 6 chairs, gas fired Aga, 5 ring gas hob, electric eye-level oven and grill, fridge-freezer and built in fridge, dishwasher, Welsh dresser, and plenty of built in cupboards and work surfaces. The kitchen is well equipped for a wide range of cooking, with plenty of glasses, cutlery, crockery and cooking/serving dishes for 10+ people.
At the front of the house are 2 large reception rooms, with an elegant hall with cloakroom (WC) and beautiful wooden staircase leading to the upper floor.
The dining room has table and chairs for fine dining, with plenty of space for 10 people. It has an exposed stone chimney breast, dresser, desk and other furniture. There is a good quality stereo system with a range of CDs.
The sitting room has an elegant fireplace with coal effect fire (not in use), 2 large sofas and 3 other chairs, easily seating 10 people. There are French windows opening onto the terrace, with a view of the garden. It has a TV with Sky satellite TV service, a DVD player and VCR (some video cassettes are supplied).
Upstairs, there is a large library area overlooking the garden, with armchairs and bookcases full of books, also a beamed inglenook fireplace.
There are 4 bedrooms:
Bedroom 1 overlooks the garden and has a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, TV (terrestrial only) and CD player.
Bedroom 2 is at the front of the house and has a double bed and futon which can be used as a settee or opened out as a double bed, a chest of drawers and wardrobe.
Bedroom 3 is at the front of the house and has bunk beds and a small cupboard.
Bedroom 4 is at the front of the house and has a double bed, armchair, built in wardrobes and shelving.
All the front facing bedrooms have double glazing. All the beds have duvets and pillows.
Off the library area, there are 2 bathrooms:
Bathroom 1 has a WC, washbasin and large built in shower.
Bathroom 2 has a WC, washbasin and Victorian style roll top bath with brass feet.
At the back of the house is a very large south-facing terrace for al fresco dining - ideal in summer for long lunches or lazy evenings, with the heat from the stone of the house lasting into the late evening. A barbecue is provided. There is also a large rockery, a lawn surrounded by flower beds and a large parking area with space for at least 4-6 cars, all behind large wooden double gates for privacy, and safety for children.
The house has gas fired central heating.
