Recently built 2 bedroom villa with shared pool, surrounded by mountains and cotton fields, an oasis a short distance from the centre of Dalyan a conservation area in the sun!

Our 2 bedroom villas share a pool in a quiet location of Dalyan only a short walk from the centre (5-7 minutes).
It is fully equipped (we do house exchanges so it's a home from home villa) and have stayed in it ourselves for a couple of months.
Location: Dalyan is famous for a beautiful spit beach (sea one side and fresh water the other that has meandered from the lake, through the delta) due to the Caretta Caretta turtles nesting there, hence it is a conservation area. Our local celebrity Kaptan June campaigned to prevent a hotel being built there involving David Bellamy and other famous people - Sting and Dustin Hoffman have visited the local mud baths.
Our villas are surrounded by local Turkish families who grow their own fruit & vegetables, a taste of real Turkish culture. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and cotton fields at the front. We have fruit trees in our garden too so you might be able to pick a banana for breakfast, or a lemon for your Gin and tonic!
An oasis in the sun where you can relax and chill out, swimming, sunbathing on the loungers provided, or lazing in our raised wooden gazebo (Turkish style), shaded from the sun but benefiting from the daily breeze.
Dine alfresco, maybe you would enjoy a traditional Turkish meal be cooked for you - it's possible to organise that for you.
Dalyan is a conservation area, a beautiful quiet holiday resort but still lots to do and see. A large range of boat trips are available to sail up the river to the lake and natural mud baths/hot springs, across the lake to the village of Koycegiz, or down the river via the ancient Roman ruins of Caunos, meandering through the reeds (like in the film African Queen) to the long stretch of beach (6 kilometres), or out to sea in either direction to other unspoilt locations. The local boat trips (public or private) are idyllic and very reasonably priced or just the water taxi to take you to the beach is a pleasant way to travel. Alternatively visit Gocek, a beautiful mariner style resort where you can enjoy the superb 12 island trips available there. Alternatively you can get the bus to Iztuzu beach which run regularly throughout the day.
Wining & Dining
There is an abundance of restaurants along the river or in the village, numerous cafes and bars too, where you can enjoy a drink or reasonably priced western style food. Traditional Turkish cuisine is served too but the best places are to be found off the beaten track at a much lower cost.
Shopping
There are numerous shops too and of course market day is a favourite with all our guests.. Many people love getting a bargain and enjoy bartering
Dalyan is a safe holiday resort with pedestrianised areas during the afternoons and evenings, so you can enjoy a stroll up the main streets without dodging vehicles!
Supermarkets are just a short walk from our villas where you can buy a large range of supplies - the bread is fresh every day, yummy!

Downstairs is open plan - lounge, dining area and kitchen. Gas hob, electric oven, electric kettle and toaster, slow cooker, large fridge (ice box), pots, pans, cutlery and all glassware, crockery etc that you would require for your stay. There is a kitchen island, dining table and chairs inside and patio table and chairs outside
Lounge has a very comfortable double orthopaedic sofa bed, 2 easy chairs & footstool, coffee table, book case, computer cupboard (laptop provided to watch DVD's), TV (satellite programmes), DVD player (lots of DVD's provided and Videos too), HiFi system (CD & cassette player inc radio).
Main bedroom: 4 poster bed surrounded by mosquito net, double wardrobe, chest of drawers, large mirror, bedside units, bedside lamps, wicker lounger and coffee table leading to a balcony with beautiful views.
Second bedroom is smaller, twin beds, dressing table, mirror, small wardrobe - balcony.
Bathroom upstairs, typical Turkish style, known as a wet room - shower, toilet and sink, mirror, shelf and shaving socket. Downstairs there is a toilet, sink and shower too but smaller than upstairs. Windows have sun reflector style curtains to keep out the heat in the height of the summer but there is airconditioning in the lounge and both bedrooms - fans are provided too. Many doors and windows have fly screens.

| Our Villas are a short walk away from the centre of Dalyan, away from the main road and hotels. From the centre you can catch a boat to the beach, or get a bus to the other end. There are lots of excursions to delight you at very reasonable prices eg 10-15 pounds for a full days boat trip including food - we have lived here for 8 years and truly love Dalyan and Turkey, so we can share a lot of information with you and tell you the special places that most tourists never get to. Nearest supermarket is about 5 minutes away. |

Our villa can sleep 6 but generally it would be more comfortable for a maximum of 4. We provide beach towels/towels to use on the sunloungers and sarongs too.
There is quite a large selection of DVDs, Videos and books too. The satellite TV has a few English channels so you can watch sport and catch up with the news, BBC prime is the channel we use most for TV programmes generally. |

| Welcome Pack: We can arrange a welcome pack but on the whole there will be tea, coffee, milk and sugar with some preserves, condiments and olive oil to get you started - if we are around we can do some more shopping for you eg bread, cheese, honey, juice. There will be washing up liquid and washing powder too. Please let me know if you want shampoo/conditioner, soap etc to save you carrying it as part of your luggage allowance - occasionally our clients leave these items behind. |
