Villa Bahce (pronounced as "Bah-chae" in Turkish) is a brand-new villa just completed in August 2006. Villa Bahce can comfortably accommodate up to 7 adults. This villa has two bedrooms and two day beds, a separate kitchen, two full bathrooms (upstairs and downstairs), mosquito nets on all windows, wood-burning fire place, new washing machine, and a fully-equipped kitchen with new dishwasher, oven, microwave, refrigerator, etc. Stairs from the villa lead directly up to the swimming pool, overlooking the Aegean Sea.
Villa Bahce Villa Bahce offers superb outdoor living space. French doors in the living room open up to a Mediterranean style courtyard garden. Perfect for enjoying your morning cup of coffee relaxing in comfortable wicker furniture. If you don't feel like sitting around the pool, two comfortable sun loungers are perfect to lay back, read a book, and laze the day away. At this location, there is a small pool and play area for children, and a large pool for adults.
The den area has a daybed with trundle that allows for two people to sleep comfortably. In addition to this, a single daybed is provided in a common area on the top floor. Perfect for relaxing with a good book while having the option to sleep one extra person. The villa is tastefully furnished and comfortably equipped. Villa Bahce has two TVs with built-in DVD/CD player with hundreds of satellite channels from around the world: one in the living room and the other in the master bedroom upstairs.
The unique design of Villa Bahce's arched roof and ottoman window box styling is only the beginning. The interior was designed with careful attention to detail and luxury. This villa is more than you would expect from a rental property. Highlights include: luxurious travertine stone in the bathrooms, custom designed furniture throughout the house, comfortable lighting, large kitchen with breakfast table, and a hand cut travertine stone wood-burning fireplace.
The Turkish clay pots and colorful plants create perfect courtyard garden. This villa was designed with the intent of blending indoors and outdoors for the discerning traveler who loves the comfort of a garden and the beauty of the sea.
Another benefit of Villa Bahce is the proximity to a pool side food and beverage service station. This area is directly at the top of the stairs to the garden. Perfect for typical Turkish lunch items, drinks, etc. This service is great for those with kids or those who simply prefer to have lunch made for them. Villa Bahce is perfect for those who love to lounge the day away by the pool. The garden has its own private steps that lead directly to the pool. With the very steep hills of Gundogan, this is a definite advantage.
The intellectual climate of Bodrum is shaped by tourists and people living on the Bodrum peninsula from countries such as England, Ireland, France, Germany, Russia, Italy, Spain, and even the USA. The villa is within 20 minutes from the city of Bodrum, which allows for many entertainment opportunities (Turkish Blue Cruise Voyages, Greek Island Excursions, Historic sites, Nature Adventures, and excellent Night Life activities). Bodrum is well-recognized for its artistic heritage, and is therefore an open-minded community. Nightlife in Bodrum offers restaurants, bars, and clubs for all life styles.
Area Information:
In Ortakent (half-way between Gundogan and Bodrum) there is a large water park. It is opposite the KIPA hypermarket which is part of the Tesco chain and sells many well known Tesco products as well as local and international brands. Gumbet and Bodrum are only 20-30 minutes away for those want the busy night life and bustling resorts.
Also look out for the markets, typically the Turgutreis one on Saturdays. Yalikavak is usually on Thurdays and Gündogan on Wednesdays. There are no fixed prices so don't forget to haggle.
Hiring a car is the easiest way to get around, but you can manage without one. If you're staying for a few weeks you may like to save some money and shed the car for some of the time and use the local dolmas, or mini-bus service, which operates cheaply and efficiently throughout the peninsula. Yellow taxis are good for short journeys but can add up a bit on longer ones. Many people hitch around the area and it is not uncommon for lifts to be offered by drivers who are going the same way as you.

"We have spent a wonderful time in Villa Selim. It was better than what we thought before leaving France. Corinne, Cleo, Alix and I fell in love with this place. Our daughters loved the pool and it was a "rendez vous" every evening after the sea. Every morning we enjoyed the vue on Rabbit Island from our terrasse. We also enjoyed daily boat trip you recommended, just Excellent!

"Villa Selim has exceeded any expectations we could possibly have had. It was immaculately clean, the decor was very modern. Everything you could possibly wish for was in with the price including washing machine which meant we only had to take one weeks clothing for a fortnight which we washed as we needed saving having to take cases and cases. Air conditioning in every room was a welcome luxury all in with the price. The swimming pool looking over the Rabbit Island on the Aegean Sea was very clean and safe. We would not hesitate to go again, in fact we are thinking of booking for next year before everyone else beats us to it. We would give this villa and service a five star rating without any hesitation. Made this one of the best holidays we have had. A huge thank you."

"Dear Mr. Ileri, Thank you for all of your help. My husband and I quite enjoyed ourselves. Even though you live in the USA, you were always in touch with almost every other day. We are very thankful for that, and all the help you and the property manager provided to us. The villa was what we had envisaged, and it was very well furnished with a nice touch. We found the villa very clean and well put together. I loved the quality of your bed linens, towels, and all the accessories the villa had. People in the town of Gundogan are very friendly. We met many local Turkish people, and learned a few words. We hope to remember them for our next trip. When combined with the remarkable exchange rate of GBP into YTL, we felt like we were really rich. We had great food at the local restaurants, and we ordered local Turkish food as you explained, and the people are very timely and the taste of the food is very delicious. I wish I could live there. It's hard to think of a better and more relaxed place for a family holiday. The pool was a nice stopping off point for the walk home. The area has very nice beaches with good access to the sea without a significant amount of people. We especially enjoyed the terrace in the morning."
