The closest town to the resort is Fuente Alamo (with its many shops, bars, restaurants and Saturday market), is a 5 minute drive away. The larger cities of Murcia and Cartagena are approx 30 minutes by car. Both cities have excellent shopping facilities, bars and restaurants. Along with the port of Cartagena, both cities are steeped in history.
The Mar Menor, bordered by the blue Mediterranean boasts endless sandy beaches and spectacular scenery. This is Europe's largest saltwater lagoon, a delight for water sports enthusiasts. Mazarron boasts some of the best beaches in Spain and as well as the many kilometers of fine unspoilt sandy beaches with safe bathing it has been awarded the coveted blue flag for the cleanest area in Spain. Both areas are less than a 30 minute drive from the resort. |
