The long white sandy beaches are about 5 minutes drive into Calpe, with its fishing port, fish restaurants, marina, long promenades, lots of restaurants, bars and children's play areas. The famous spectacular Calpe Rock rising 332m high, dramatically divides the two beaches. The old town has narrow streets and is very picturesque with its museums, colourful paintings on the walls, traditional tapas bars and quaint park areas.
There are well preserved Roman & Moorish remains which are evidence of Calpe’s rich history. The salt lake on the edge of the town is home to flamingos and numerous other aquatic birds. |

The villa has three double bedrooms all with ceiling fans, one en-suite and a separate shower room. The lounge is spacious and comfortable, with seating for 6.
The dining area is between the lounge and kitchen. Spacious, fully equipped & modern kitchen.
Generally very well equipped, bright and airy, well maintained and sympathetically furnished with care and attention to make the villa feel comfortable. The garden has a lemon and almond tree, bushes, cacti, palms, bougainvilleas & shrubs in a typical Spanish setting with secure gates. The paved BBQ area is adjacent to the pool patio, has a built in BBQ and a stone round table with matching benches, seating 6, ideal for “al fresco” dining.
There is a private kidney-shaped pool (approx. 8x4m), with underwater lights, Roman steps and a handrail surrounded by a tiled patio area & outside tiled shower.

My Wife and I have stayed three times at the Villa Catalina at Calpe, twice in Spring and once in the Autumn. It really is a lovely modern villa with a very nice pool and a lovely garden and patio. Set in a residential area it is quiet but within easy reach of the beach, restaurants and shops. Whenever we arrived the villa was very well prepared and welcoming - always clean and comfortable! If you like barbecuing, I don't, be prepared for a treat! Superb barbecue, a lovely round stone dining table and secluded dining area - all alongside the pool. My Wife and I prefer eating out and there are some very nice restaurants in Calpe. We are taking our daughter and son-in-law on our next visit as they like a hectic night life. Calpe has plenty of that and a short ride away in either direction is Benidorm to the South and Moraira to the North. If you have never been to this area the weather is usually 95% gorgeous in Spring and Autumn! 100% during the summer. By the way, Benidorm is wonderful for all ages. Superb beaches and a Water Park and for more mature couples lovely restaurants and every kind of entertainment. The owners provide a very good customer service and the facilities within the villa are very modern and the place is nice and comfortable. They provide a book giving plenty of information about the area so that anybody who stays there will know what to do and where to go - personally we preferred to sunbathe on the very comfortable sunbeds by the pool!
