A wonderful visit! The countryside, the people, the food, the wine! It was an incredible time to spend with friends, both new and old. We learned about history, about food, about life. Thank you so much for giving us memories for a lifetime. Hopefully we�ll be back, though The Clark and Goodwin families, UK (14 September 2001) Tomorrow we leave �La Strega� with a great deal of trepidation after the events of this past week in New York. We want to return home but home is not the same. Best of all though, we have a new home here in Tuscany at La Strega. We have felt safe and happy here in such a beautiful and friendly place. Franco has been our friend, and his concern and generosity has comforted us during our stay. We will all miss this new home terribly and cannot wait to return. From the full moon and the fireflies under the olive trees to the wonderful dinner prepared here and served by Franco, his wife and daughter, we memories to sustain many foggy days back home. The changing scenery of Siena, the wine country to the north and south. Next time 6 weeks at a minimum! The Vandivers, USA This magnificent house and setting has surpassed all expectations from the brochure. It must be one of the most admired properties in Siena. It has the accommodation and space to hold a large group (we are 9) in real comfort. At the practical level all services and facilities have worked well and without problems. Franco clearly works hard to keep the house and gardens in shape. But more than that, he has always been very helpful and friendly. I predict my most enduring memories will be of the house itself, relaxing in the shade of the �groaning tree� (yes it really groans, in the breeze and when the temperature changes), looking over to Siena, and the cycling forays into the beautiful Chianti area. Roger, England La Strega � bellissima! Like a dream. And the view of Siena never quite seemed real, especially at night with the new moon rising over the towers. A week of days just sitting in the garden would be ideal! Not enough time!
