Historic villa , Il Cardinale (once the property of a Cardinal )on the Via Salaria, 8 km from the centre of Rome. The villa is surrounded by beautiful gardens, with secular trees, an orchard, olive trees, and a vegetable garden. Outdoor dance area, barbecue, and fountains.
Inside there are wonderful and impressive rooms, high ceilings, marble floors,3 working fireplaces, all in perfect order. Huge kitchen, with open fire, and a bread/pizza oven plus cellar, laundry room and cloakroom. Elegant dining room, and very large reception room on the ground floor. Upstairs spacious and elegant master bedroom suite with four poster bed, fireplace, sunny terrace, and en-suite bathroom. Two further bedrooms and a bathroom. Fully equipped gymnasium in the grounds.
The villa is ideal for entertaining, for family relaxation during a holiday in Rome, or to be in a secluded and luxurious place whilst on a professional trip. Ancient Roman mosaics and archaelogical remains in the garden. Offered on a B&B basis, if required, as well as complete with cook, both lunch and evening meal (separate charge). An excellent restaurant is located right opposite the villa. An outdoor and indoor swimming pool, and tennis courts are available up the hill (5 minutes drive from the villa). Tennis and sports club membership provided on request. Car essential, and a driver can be booked for the period of the stay.

Ideal also for art hitorians, writers, artists or musicians on mission in the eternal city. Easy access for the motorway to Florence, and ring road for both Rome main airports (20 to 40 minutes away).
