Located in one of the most beautiful areas of southern Lefkas island, the Ourania Villas were built in 2007.
They stand on a low hill overlooking breathtaking vistas of the Ionian sea near the famous Greek beaches
of Egkremnoi and Porto Katsiki. The four villas, Villa Fos, Villa Helios, Villa Ios and Villa Iris, are nestled among oak and olive trees, spaced far enough apart to ensure privacy. Villa Geofos is situated 1km away from these, alone on a hill with fantastic southern and western views.
It is a 220m² stone residence with traditional architecture, and is situated within a beautiful eight acre hillside garden, the sea is 700m away as the crow flies. The surrounding region is hilly and free of other residences. It is an ideal spot for relaxation and contact with nature. From the courtyard of the house one can enjoy the splendid colors of sunrise and sunset, the evening star-studded sky, as well as the reflection of the moon in the waters beneath the terrace.
The villa is built with natural materials and local stone, in the traditional style. It has a tiled roof, a wooden traditional island ceiling, wooden exterior and internal frames. It is built on two levels completely adapted to the natural surroundings. The two levels are connected by an indoor wooden staircase, but both have independent access through the courtyard. All the rooms are surrounded by large stone verandas and all have a view to the sea and the islands of Ithaka and Kefalonia, as well as a number of smaller ones

The villas are located in the southern part of the island 40km from the city of Lefkada. The beauty of this island is that it is connected to the mainland of Greece by a floating bridge, so there is no delay with ferries. The distance from Vassiliki, the seat of the municipality, is 6km of which 4km are unpaved and not on the map, which adds to the exclusivity. The distance from Athani is 8km, while the international airport of Aktio (Preveza) is 55km away.

The Villa has four bedrooms, two large living rooms, two kitchens and four bathrooms. On the first level there is a living room with a fireplace, lounge and dining room, three bedrooms, cooking and dining spaces and a bathroom. On the second level there is a bedroom, a large studio room with oven and dining area, a double bed and a bathroom. The first level has wooden floors and the remaining space has “cotto” tiled floors.
The bedrooms are fully equipped with bedside tables, wardrobes, light fixtures and double beds with mattresses made of natural metal-free materials, iron and ironing board. The country style furniture is made of oak and pinewood. The kitchen is completely equipped with an oven, refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, dishwasher and laundry machine. In the living room there is a telephone, a television, DVD and CD players.
In the exterior space, the plants and trees of the region have been preserved. Sage and thyme grow among the olive and cypress trees. There is also a garden with vines, fig trees and small fruit trees. |

Villa Geofos. It ticked all the boxes and more..
We wanted SUNSHINE, peace, seclusion, a beautiful villa and fabulous views, and this is what we got at Villa Geofos, as well as being off the beaten track which we LOVE. The nature here is spectacular, butterflies everywhere (June). The Villa Geofos is a short drive from the 4 Ourania Villas which we also visited. So much thought and attention to detail has gone into these properties, and during a heatwave with temperatures top 30's the bedrooms here were cool! Everything is beautifully maintained by Ourania and her team including the friendly Ivelyn and Dimitri, the House Managers. Nothing was too much trouble. The slippers are a lovely touch... The villas are all reached by an unmade road, Porto Katsiki to Vassiliki, not on the map, and for me this added to the exclusivity. The area is undeveloped, another plus, and Theo at the Oasis Taverna could not have made us more welcome, lovely home cooked food and what a view down to the Egremni beach! We may even ask Ourania's Chefs to cook for us next time, this is a great idea, and for parties with young children, they can be catered for first, and while Mum and Dad are putting them to bed, their meal is being prepared. We can't wait to go back!

We were practically the very first party to use Villa Ios. We were six adults (age 52) and we had a fabulous holiday. Once we got over the shock of the length of the road leading to the villa we soon realised what a special place this was. The owner and her staff could not have been more helpful and yet discreet. The view from every room is world class, we could not get enough of it. The villa is very simply furnished but chic and understated, there is lots of room. Everything is provided and if there is anything else that you may need the maid will obtain it for you. The local eateries were just the type that we enjoyed, simple fresh food. Would recommend eating in as the terraces are fabulous for outside eating. The island is very beautiful and the people are very friendly and fun. For the type of holiday which we wanted this location was perfect.
