Discover the charm of Southern Crete staying at a vaction home in Voroi. This traditional village is protected by Greek cultural heritage law. Just the right spot to spend a relaxing holiday. Voroi used to be the capital of the Pirgiotissa district and many of the traditional stone village houses have neo classical influences giving the village a very special atmosphere. The villa was built in 1890 by Sior Nikoletos a doctor - from Venetian ancestors that had settled in Crete. The Italian archaeologists F. Halbherr and L. Pernier stayed in this villa in the early 1900's during their excavations at Festos. The villa is registered with the Greek National Travel Organization.

| Voroi is a well known traditional village and located on the western end of the Messara plain in Southern Crete. The bay of Messera on the southern coastline is not far away. The crystal clear waters of the Lybian Sea are ideal for swimming and sunbathing. Kommos Beach is the nesting ground for the caretta caretta turtle and is proctected by environment law. During the summer months the University of Toronto is excavating a Minoan Palace at Kommos beach. Many other beaches in the area. In Voroi you will find the Museum of Cretan Ethnology. Near by antiquities: Festos, Ag. Triada, Gortyna. Many monastaries and old churches are in the area. Nearest tourist resorts are Matala and Ag. Galini.
