Les Chenes du Vilaron is only 35 minutes from Cannes (the coast) and about 45 minutes from Nice Airport. The region is world famous for its food, climate, and natural beauty. Gloriously situated on the edge of a forest, it was originally a 17th Century farm dwelling tied to an ancient Domaine. For some of the last century it served as a weekend retreat. It has been carefully restored and enlarged from its original one bedroom (with manger)to its present three bedrooms with pool. Its setting is peaceful, secluded but not isolated. It has a forest for a back garden and is set in extensive terraced land with fruit trees, olives, oak and pine. There is a beautiful pool (approximately 10mx5m) and the house is fully equipped to accommodate 6 people in luxury. Privately owned home from home in easy reach of the numerous attractions of Provence - Nice - Cannes - Monte Carlo - St Tropez etc.

Spacious open plan ground floor: fully equipped kitchen, dining area, lounge area with open fireplace. Covered terrace with summer kitchen, incorporating barbecue and wood-burning pizza oven, overlooking pool. Studio has kitchenette. Principal twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom. 2nd double bedroom, both with terraces/balconys. 3rd twin bedroom. 3 WCs in main house.There is a main bathroom with tub and separate shower. A downstairs shower with pool access.The independent twin-bedded studio with en-suite shower/WC is dramatically built into the terracing and has large south facing French windows looking out over a small terrace and towards the pool. It provides a further spacious bedroom suitable for two people (maybe elderly or with mobility problems) for whom the stairs within the main house could be a problem. The studio is all on one level. It has wide doorways for ease of access. This studio - 4th bedroom is not available separately. Free wireless internet connection. All amenities you would expect, dishwasher, microwave, dryer etc. |

A very enjoyable week here - we had a wonderful time and, as you claim, all you need to bring with you is a toothbrush & swimwear.
The house and pool are fantastic - the latter very welcome during these hot, lazy days.
We have visited Fayence on market day (lovely and full of character), Cannes, Antibes, Grasse and the Gorge du Verdon. Callian too worth a visit - good evening meal overlooking the valley at 'Rendez-vous'. Also two beautiful meals at 'Le Marina' in Montauroux.
Thank you for a wonderful holiday - we would certainly visit here again - our only criticism: a week is just not long enough!
