Several restaurants situated on the banks of the Canal offer an ideal place to relax and watch the boats. The fabulous medieval city of Carcassonne, which is the only fortified town in Europe still inhabited, is 17km away. Here you can relive 2500 years of history. On Saturdays there is a bustling market in the town square. There is also an excellent golf club, which welcomes visiting players. From the house you can enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Walk, cycle or jog, along the banks of the canal, through the vineyards and countryside. Discover friendly wine producers, taste local produce from the Corbieres and Black mountain regions or simply relax by the pool. The Mediterranean is situated 45 minutes drive away. Along this stretch of 20 km of beaches you can locate Narbonne Plage; Sete; Meze and savour the typically French lifestyle with many cafes and seafood restaurants. |
