Belair is on two floors, both of which have wrap-around verandahs on all sides. The lower floor consists of a formal dining room, large kitchen, one bedroom, and one bathroom. The dining room is a definite reminder of those regal days with a wonderful antique mahogany dining table that seats twelve.
The upper floor has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. On the back veranda is the living space - a tastefully decorated sitting area where guests may relax and watch television or just sit and chat. This back veranda also has a bar, an informal dining area that seats eight, and a fully-equipped kitchen. All bedrooms over look the pool and ocean.
Set within the grounds are a large swimming pool and deck with ample space for relaxing and entertaining. Adjoining the pool deck is a barbeque with bar sink and counter top. Adjacent to the barbeque area is a gazebo with a dining area seating ten. The pool area is slightly raised and gated making Belair Great House child friendly.
The entire property is enclosed and has an electronic entrance gate and a small gate to the sea front. Also within the grounds is a recently constructed asphalt tennis court |

My husband and I were married at Belair Great House, and we and our family stayed here during the week. The setting was absolutely beautiful, and the house was more than we could have expected.
There was no air-conditioning. However, with all of the windows and doors letting in the breeze, you hardly notice. We arranged for a cook, which was a good idea because it was about a thirty-minute drive to most of the restaurants on the south coast. It also gave us a chance to try the local cuisine.
This house provided so much space for the entire family that it was a great choice for a relaxed and calm vacation |
