| Captiva Breeze is a very short walk to the beach - under 3 minutes, or the Captiva village area.
Captiva Island is a barrier island on Florida's Gulf Coast. This tropical island is one of the most beautiful Gulf Coast vacation locations. It is located in Florida’s Lee County just off the northern tip of Sanibel Island, on Florida's southwest coast on the Gulf of Mexico. Captiva Island has been called "Florida's Tahiti " and “Florida’s Caribbean ” due to its subtropical climate and beautiful beach.
Part of the unique beauty of Captiva Island is that there are no high-rise buildings or fast food restaurants to mar the pristine views, tropical flora and fauna, and relaxed attitude.
It is noted for its laid back easy lifestyle, breathtaking sunsets, and wonderful shelling.
Often compared to the Caribbean, Captiva Island's beach has white sugar sand, speckled by pretty and unusual shells. (The shells are not a problem with walking barefoot on the beach; sandals or water shoes can also be used if you have a concern.)
The beach is natural and not crowded. The Captiva Island beach is one of the most gorgeous in the world, and has been named one of the most romantic in the America!
The beach is "child friendly" and swimming is safe for all ages with a gradual slope at the water line. Activities abound including: surf fishing, shelling, sunbathing, bird watching, boating, tennis, biking and hiking. |

Guestbook: 8/13-20/05 "... just wanted to take the time and let you know how much we all enjoyed our first vacation in Captiva. What a beautiful place!!! We all agreed that your vacation home really made our vacation spectacular. We have two children a one year old and a two year old and our friends have a four year old. The kids truly enjoyed swimming in the pool with all of us. We couldn't get them out of the water. :) It was nice to come back from the beach shower off and jump into your refreshing pool. That was our afternoon ritual. We really made it a restful week - we walked to the local restaurants, went to Cabbage Key island, checked out some local shops and visited several beaches. Your roof deck truly lets you appreciate being alive. Witnessing the beautiful sunsets truly took our breath away. I will always remember them!! We truly fell in love with Captiva. Thank you for opening your house to us. We loved it and are currently talking about our plans for next year...." K. & B. A., Leominster, MA
