Guestbook: I recently stayed at a quaint and comfy little vacation rental in the LA area when my husband and I took our 5 kids on vacation. I was leary about renting from someone with 0 feedback, but had a very pleasant experience. The property manager was very friendly and nice about answering all of my questions beforehand - I was impressed by her efficiency. The owners actually met us at the property with only a few minutes notice via cell phone when we were arriving to hand over the keys and show us around. I was relieved to find the home owned by a wonderful family who had really gone the extra mile to make this a great place to stay. As per our request they had the beds all folded out and made up for us. There was great water pressure and plenty of hot water in the shower, fresh towels, extra blankets, & plump pillows.The furniture was older, but still comfortable and created an overall environment that was a bargain for the price. Little extras like a new toothbrush, toothpaste, and shampoo were provided in case we'd forgotten to pack them. They had a variety of videos that helped us unwind in front of the TV after a long day of sight-seeing. We were only 10-15 minutes from the Long Beach Aquarium and Queen Mary. The owners were wonderful about making suggestions of local attractions that might interest us and fit our budget. I felt safe letting my kids play in the front yard. The home is in a beautiful neighborhood of small well-kept homes on a quiet street. Yet, it is close to several fancy/family/& fast food restaurants, as well as shopping centers. I was hesitant to stay here as their was no prior feedback, but definitely plan on using this rental again and will recommend it to my friends.
