Our delightful holiday home in Crail is ideal for golfers and family beach holidays alike. Lorne is an elegantly decorated and furnished house fitted with all modern conveniences to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
It has two twin bedrooms (one en-suite), a family bathroom with a jacuzzi bath, a dining room with a sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with a wonderful big bay window overlooking the harbour and the sea out to the May Island.
There is a sheltered, sunny front garden to sit out in and loose yourself in the view and a well stocked back garden with fruit trees and roses.
All in all it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy what the East Neuk of Fife has to offer in the way of beaches and golf courses, culture in St Andrews and fine dining at the Peat Inn and The Cellar in Anstruther |

| Our holiday home is in the delightful fishing village of Crail in Fife. This area is the home of Golf and boasts 14 golf courses within less than an hour's drive from the house. The nearest course is Balcomie set on the links at the East Neuk. It is two minutes walk to the nearest beach which is just below the house next to the ancient harbour. There are two other great beaches in Crail and a wonderful cliff side walk links them all. The local shops include a baker, green grocer and fine butcher who also sells wonderful local produce such as honey and oatcakes. There are three art galleries in Crail and the world famous Crail Pottery. All of these are within a 10 minute walk through the village from Lorne. For the culture seekers among you the ancient University town of St Andrews is only 10 miles away and has a wonderful old Castle and Cathedral with an extremely impressive Bell Tower. The whole of this coast is lined with beautiful old fishing villages - Anstruther and Cellardyke, Pittenweem, St Monans and Elie are the best known in addition to Crail. There are some wonderful restaurants in the area - the best known are The Peat Inn and The Cellar. Book ahead! |

In the Kitchen there is a gas hob and electric oven, a fridge/ freezer a microwave, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. There is also a toaster and a kettle. The kitchen is stocked with all the necessary equipment for self catering including a cupboard with larder basics such as salt, pepper, oil etc
In the dining room there is a table and chairs to seat six, a sideboard with candles, mats, napkins etc and a wonderful view! The double sofabed is in the dining room.
The Sitting room has a lovely big suite - three seater, two seater and armchair, a desk with phone (incoming calls only please) a Television with Freeview digital service, a DVD player and selection of DVD films. There is also a flame effect gas fire.
In Bedroom One there are two single beds a dressing table and cupboard and an ensuite bathroom with a power shower, bidet, toilet and basin. Towels and bedding are provided.
Bedroom Two has two single beds a cupboard and a chest of drawers as well as a dressing table and a comfy chair.
The family bathroom has a toilet, bidet, basin and jacuzzi bath as well as a shower.
There is a spacious drying area in the hallway for wet golf equipment and swimming stuff. There are deck chairs for sitting out on the front terrace and plenty of space to store golf clubs and outdoor clothes. If you would like to bring bikes - there is room in the porch to store them too. We don't encourage pets but if you have to bring them please let us know and keep them off the furniture. It goes without saying that if they foul the garden you must clear it up. |
