"Il Trebbio" is a converted, 3-bedroom self catering holiday farmhouse.It lies on a hillside overlooking the wonderful medieval town of Barga (Tuscany, Lucca province), with the Serchio valley and the Apuan Alps beyond: this stunning panorama is its finest asset, which no guest yet has failed to appreciate.The area is totally unspoiled. There is a village shop, hotel and restaurant at the hamlet of Albiano, 5 minutes walk away. Barga is about 5 minutes away by car, Lucca 35 minutes.
Barga is in a strategic position to plan your visit to the most important tuscan cities like Florence, Pisa, Siena.Very close to Barga the wonderful heaven of “Cinque Terre” and the famous sea place of Versilia too.But we are keen to underline that Barga itself and all its surroundings are absolutely wonderful, reach in art works, natural parks and very very good wine and food!
An indirect evidence of the gorgeous heaven offered at Il Trebbio, with its quite, large, panoramic green park, its warm atmosphere and above all our hospitality is the percentage of our guests that came back the next year: second time 70%, third time 50%!
All of them confirm to us, with gratifying happiness, that Il Trebbio really represents the Tuscan Heaven!!!
The house has central heating so is available year-round; most of the spring/summer/late summer season is usually near to be completely booked from February, so it is a good idea to make plans well in advance.

| Albiano is one of the most prestigious place of the Serchio valley, in fact the gorgeous view that it offers over the whole valley and the ancient walled town of Barga is absolutely unique.The place is peaceful and unspoilt. Barga can be reached in less than 5 mins by car and about 30 mins on foot. It is a lively, cosmopolitan town with a wide variety of wine bar, cafes, restaurants, shops and services.Barga boasts an opera house, a jazz festival, a wide number of outdoor feasts, dances and concerts and a modern swimming pool with a beautiful view.The historical centre, which dates back to medieval times, is a honeycomb of teeny lanes, cobbled alleys and stairways, spilling onto lovely little piazzas. Barga is strategical to plan visits to Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Siena and the seaside. There is a train station in the nearby town of Fornaci di Barga. Services are cheap and regular, and connect with the major towns and cities in the region. |
