Local Area Details Pont Aven (approx 3 miles) Pont Aven is only 5 minutes drive and one of the most picturesque places in France. It was made famous by the painter Gauguin who set up a painting school here. It is set on the river Aven and full of galleries, shops, cafes, restaurants, and riverside eating places. You can take a boat ride on the river or spend time in the many art galleries and museums. It is also famous for its biscuits!
The Hotel Des Mimosas serves the most wonderful seafood platter which you can enjoy as you watch the boats come in and out (the fillet steak is worth a mention too).
