Our tree-lined entrance to the port and cobble stone quai give easy access to the ship and the neighborhood - a variety of shops, boutiques, bistrots, restaurants, hotels and many of the sites that give Paris so much of its' charm and character.
From the deck of the Simpatico experience the Seine's calm and beauty in the City of Light with the intimacy of evening cocktails or morning coffee in a distinctly Parisien setting.
Designed and built with traditional materials and elegance, our guests' accommodations include a fully equiped kitchen, bathroom, (kingize) bedroom and spacious living area - totaling about 800 sq.ft.

| Guestbook: "Bob Abrams' love of boats is evident the minute you step off the quai along the Seine and into his meticulously restored péniche (barge.) He has spent upwards of twenty years on the project; and the results are remarkable. The main part consists of one great room (800 square feet!), trimmed in highly polished wood with gleaming brass fittings. It is furnished with a leather settee, comfortable chairs, a dining table and chairs, and many fascinating objects he has collected over many years of globetrotting. If you need to stay connected with the outside world, you will have a telephone, Internet connection, and television with a VCR. There is a king-size bed, plus a trundle bed suitable for two adults. However, no children under ten are accepted, and neither are smokers or animals. Hardly a galley, the kitchen is big enough for you to cook your Christmas goose in the oven and prepare all the side dishes on the four-burner stove. Of course, the kitchen is equipped with all the pots, pans and necessary implements to do it in great style. For simple heating and eating, there is a microwave. The large bathroom has a shower and a washer without dryer. If you are here in the warm months, you will be able to relax on the deck in a lounge chair and watch all the activities taking place along this interesting part of the Seine. And you'll be right under the shadow of the Eiffel Tower and only a three-minute walk from a métro stop.
