Itinerary
Day 1
July 18th- Most arrivals will be in late evening tonight. After clearing customs and immigration you will be met and transferred to our nearby hotel.
Day 2
July 19th- Early this morning we will board our flight to Cusco. From Cusco we will explore the Sacred Valley with a drive to Yucay to acclimate to the change in altitude and offer an excellent starting point for our photographic discovery of Andean architecture, community, environment, and culture. Throughout our travels we will take plenty of time at each area and make stops along the way to photograph the Andean landscape. Today we stop at the Awanakancha Center, where we photograph and learn about camelids and traditional processing of their fiber into woven goods. Time to explore the colorful Pisac Market this afternoon. Then return to the hotel for discussion and overnight.
Day 3
July 20th- Today, we will visit the town of Chincherro. Built on an ancient Inca ruin, the town offers wonderful opportunities for landscape photography as well as portrait photography, with a visit to a women's weaving co-op. This afternoon we will enjoy a picnic lunch on the lagoon followed by a visit to the salt pans of Salinas and sunset over the mountains. This evening enjoy an informative photography presentation by the leaders followed by group download and discussion.
Day 4
July 21st- This morning we will take the 8:00 am train to the famous ruins of Machu Picchu, one of the highlights of our expedition. Upon arrival, we will tour the ruins with guided interpretation. Offering an excellent canvas for our photographic creativity, our expert team will help guide your imaging with precision and direction. After lunch at Sanctuary Lodge, we will continue to photograph and explore the UNESCO site of Machu Picchu ruins. Return to the hotel this evening for evening presentation and discussion.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
