Enjoy six stimulating days of Andean photography under the guidance of expert photographers, Rob Sheppard and Greg Basco. Capture Machu Picchu, the streets of Cusco, the Pisac Market and much more!
July 18th- Most arrivals will be in late evening tonight. After clearing customs and immigration you will be met and transferred to our nearby hotel.
July 19th- Early this morning we will board our flight to Cusco. From Cusco we will explore the Sacred Valley with a drive to Yucay to acclimate to the change in altitude and offer an excellent starting point for our photographic discovery of Andean architecture, community, environment, and culture. Throughout our travels we will take plenty of time at each area and make stops along the way to photograph the Andean landscape. Today we stop at the Awanakancha Center, where we photograph and learn about camelids and traditional processing of their fiber into woven goods. Time to explore the colorful Pisac Market this afternoon. Then return to the hotel for discussion and overnight.
July 20th- Today, we will visit the town of Chincherro. Built on an ancient Inca ruin, the town offers wonderful opportunities for landscape photography as well as portrait photography, with a visit to a women's weaving co-op. This afternoon we will enjoy a picnic lunch on the lagoon followed by a visit to the salt pans of Salinas and sunset over the mountains. This evening enjoy an informative photography presentation by the leaders followed by group download and discussion.
July 21st- This morning we will take the 8:00 am train to the famous ruins of Machu Picchu, one of the highlights of our expedition. Upon arrival, we will tour the ruins with guided interpretation. Offering an excellent canvas for our photographic creativity, our expert team will help guide your imaging with precision and direction. After lunch at Sanctuary Lodge, we will continue to photograph and explore the UNESCO site of Machu Picchu ruins. Return to the hotel this evening for evening presentation and discussion.

Lunch will be at a local café, and the afternoon will be free to continue to explore, allowing time to review your portfolio of work and select photos for our collective slide show this evening.
July 24th- This morning, transfer to the airport for flight to Lima. Visit the Huaca Pucllana ruins for lunch and photography in this breathtaking setting, an archaeological compound built between 200 and 700 AD.
