| The Lulur originated in the palaces of Java in the 17th century, and was used by Javanese princesses as a purifying ritual before marriage. First, a full body massage with aromatic massage oil, and then an invigorating skin scrub with the lulur recipe containing turmeric, rice and jasmine.
