A trip North of Salta through incredible landscapes of coloured hills, massive salt flats and Indian pueblos to visit tiny Iruya, a village nestling in the mountains
DAY 1 Pick up Salta and travel north to Humahuaca. Visit oldest pueblo in the humahuaca gorge and continue to Iruya, climbing to 4000 metres at the Abra del Condor. Overnight
Day 2 In Iruya return to Tilcara. Visit Inca fortress and Gargantua del Diablo waterfall. Overnight.
Day 3 Drive to Purmamarca and see the 'Hill of the Seven Colours' Lunch Purmamarca. Continue up through the winding heights of the Cuesta de Lipan to Salinas Grandes - the salt flats. Return Salta
Option to extend to four day trip and hike from Iruya to San Isidro. Option to be dropped at Bolivian border.
