Itinerary
Day 1
El Tigre River Tour (Possible Wakeboarding or Beach Time)
Just outside of the city lies the lesser known Tigre river area. After a train ride through the outskirts of town, you will arrive in a noticeably more calm community. You will board a large boat with reclining seats for your tour of some of the area's natural waterways. If sunny, we will stop for a few hours to lie on the beach, play ball, and relax. If not, we will take a stroll through the local outdoors and return to the town. Once back in the town of Tigre, we stroll through booths of local hand crafted goods and authentic souvenirs which make up the outdoor marketplace. Hot Churros, cold ice cream, or maybe a refreshing Quilmes beer will be the final touch of relaxation for the afternoon.
Teatro in Calle Corrientes
Come experience the Argentine Broadway! Shows can vary greatly depending on current productions, so you never know what treat awaits!
Day 2
Street Smart Spanish Class
Day:
Today you will begin to dive into the world of the Spanish language. Whether you have never heard a single word in Spanish or can put together a decent sentence, your trip to Buenos Aires will benefit from our real world advice. Between a few jokes, some quick phrases, and basic vocabulary hints, this class will bring you up to speed and have you asking for directions, a beer, or maybe even a phone number in less then 3 hours. A handy reference guide will be given to you at the end of the class to rescue you from any forgetful moments.
Night:
Argentine Tango Show
Elegance, passion, heartbreak, and sensuality fill the air surrounding two tango dancers. They take dancing cheek to cheek to a whole new level! Be prepared for a beautiful night out complete with fine wines and dinner. Bring your Sunday best and be prepared to be dazzled as six dancers, two singers, countless instruments, racing heartbeats, and tantalizing music fill the theatre.
Day 3
Monday: Volunteering
Day:
This is a chance to experience the culture from the other side, which is not often attractive. It is raw and gritty, full of people needing a helping hand. This is your chance to give back to the culture which proves very welcoming to international travelers. Participation is of all events is optional.
Night:
Buenos Aires Pub Crawl
Ever wonder what it would be like to be a VIP at every bar and nightclub you walked into? Well welcome to the good life! We have tirelessly searched the city for the best pubs, coolest clubs, tastiest drinks, and hottest crowds, tipped off many bouncers, made friends with every bartender, and slept very little (It's a hard job but somebodies gotta do it!), all to bring you the VIP Buenos Aires Pub Crawl. Latin Americans party all night long, so the only question is; Can you make it to sunrise?
Day 4
Day:
Northern Buenos Aires/ Buenos Aires Museums Tour
After breakfast today, you will make your way to the other end of the city. The north end of the city is rich in culture and unusual sites. From the Buenos Aires Fine Arts museum, to the open air market of Plaza Francia, to the Floralis Generica, to the Recoleta Cemetary with Evita's grave, you will be escorted by your bilingual guide to many not-to be missed spots.
Night:
Learn to Tango Class
Now that you have see tango, it is time to dance tango. Whether you have two left feet or have been dancing for years, be prepared to learn something new and just have a great time. Your bilingual instructor will take the time to help you feel the music throughout your body, and truly understand what it is to tango.
Day 5
Day: Argentine Gaucho Day at the Ranch
Yee haw! Today you will escape the hustle of the city to get a taste of what country life in Argentina is like. Real Gauchos (Argentine cowboys) will lead you horseback riding and enjoying the outdoors for a day in el campo. Lunch will be provided today with smoky steaks and mouthwatering sausages; a true argentine feast that is not to be forgotten!
Night:
Free Night
Tonight is a free night to explore the city or revisit your newly discovered favorite corner of the city. Ask your host for any suggestions, guidance, or tips you may need!
Day 6
Day:
Southern Buenos Aires/ La Boca Tour
Do you know why the neighborhood La Boca is painted so colorfully? Hop on a bike (weather permitting) and come find out! Your tour today will include the South end of the capital city. Sites will include La Boca, La Casa Rosada, the Ecological Reserve, Puerto Madero, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and much more. Finding a more complete tour is casi impossible!
Night:
Buenos Aires Pub Crawl II
Same unbelievable Argentine nightlife, new undiscovered hotspots, different night. Wanna go?
Day 7
Day:
Argentine Soccer Stadium
It is not possible to separate Argentine culture from Argentine soccer (or football as it is called here). Ask any argentine what his team is and his eyes will beam with pride and passion as he responds. Tell an argentine you like another team, and be prepared for a heated personal debate! Cheering, chanting, jumping, banner waving and singing are all part of the turf. Being for the same team means you are part of the family. Enjoy the organized chaos!
Night:
Asado- The Argentine Parilla
There are some meals that can never be reproduced, nor repeated. Succulent filet mignon, juicy tri-tip, spicy sausages, unreal cheeses, and rich wine to wash it all down with; This is the Argentine Parrilla. A parrilla does not simply mean world-renowned flavors, but more over, an experience. Which dishes come when, which wine to enjoy, and how to best top off your house made flan will be your biggest concerns for the evening.
