From Nadi town we head south to our lunch spot and one of Fiji’s most famous beaches, Natadola Beach for sunbathing, body surfing and mingling with the locals all whilst your Driver and Guide cook a BBQ lunch. Early afternoon is the first cultural experience at Malomalo Village, where your Guide will explain traditional customs in a Fijian village. The last activity is on the Coral Coast itself - sand boarding the Sigatoka sand dunes! Later in the afternoon we arrive at our accommodation, Mango Bay - a beachfront resort, complete with free snorkelling, kayaking, pool, volleyball and loads of other free and paid activities. Highlights: * Bartering at Nadi Markets * Natadola Beach * Malomalo Village Visit * Sandboarding down the Sigatoka Sand Dunes * Mango Bay Resort * Activities in the evening - these vary from quiz nights, night club * Kava ceremony, beach bonfire and more!
Day 2 - Day 2: Mango Bay to Suva Make sure you have a big breakfast to prepare yourself for an even bigger day! We head east to the Matakibau Track, an amazing 2 to 3 hour trek through the Namosi Highlands - the best rated Feejee Experience activity. After a picnic lunch by the river we’ll explore the Navua River by tubing down it, swimming at its secluded waterfalls and finally taking a long-boat journey past the local villages and farms. We’ll spend the night in a unique Suva rainforest lodge. Nightly cultural performances are also frequent entertainment here in the rainforest or choose to hit the town in Suva City. Highlights: * 2-3 hour trek through the Namosi Highlands * Tubing down the Navua River * Swimming in secluded waterfalls * Longboat journey * Suva tour - get insights into the capital city * Raintree Lodge * Optional night out in Suva City
Day 3 - Day 3: Suva to Volivoli Beach Today you’ll be heading to another awesome resort on the beach at Volivoli. But before we get there we’ll head inland to visit a local school or orphanage, travel to the remote Wailotua village to meet the chief in a traditional sevu-sevu (kava) ceremony and join the villagers for bilibili rafting. Once we arrive at Volivoli Beach there are plenty of things to do: kayak, snorkelling, volleyball, games, entertainment in the evening, and a bonfire to top it off. Day 4 - Day 4: Volivoli Beach to Nadi A late start to the day - time to learn to dive, snorkel, kayak, swim or chill out in the sun. We’ll then head west on the Kings Road of Viti Levu focusing on our Indo-Fijian culture. Driving through the heart of sugar cane farming we’ll arrive at our first stop of the day at Ba Town for curry lunch and an Indo-Fijian culture experience. We’ll finish the day heading inland again for a swim at the Sabeto Valley mud pools and hot pools. Highlights: * Dive, snorkel, kayak, swim or chill out in the sun * Ba Town * Curry Lunch * Indo-Fijian cultural experience * Sabeto Valley mud pools and hot pools
Day 5 - Day 5: Nadi to Vorovoro Head north to Fiji’s second biggest island, Vanua Levu and into the town of Labasa. Upon arriving in Labasa you will be transferred a small distance by bus and boat to Vorovoro Island, where you will be welcomed as a member of Tribewanted.
Day 6 - Day 6-13: Tribewanted You will live for seven days in a Fijian environment on a spectacular island, learning the Fijian way of life in an eco-tourism project. Play a part in a 21st century sustainable community, building local and global awareness of our impact on the planet through the realisation that even on a tropical island every action has an environmental consequence well beyond the beach. During your week on the island you will be embracing and celebrating the local Fijian culture and traditions, whilst helping Vorovoro become a unique focal point for responsible tourism in the region. A truly unique and rewarding experience!
Day 7 - Day 14: Vorovoro to Nadi Say goodbye to new found friends and travel by boat back to Labasa, then fly back to Nadi.
