Itinerary

Day 1

Why not go with the people who will make you feel comfortable and attend to your needs? Why not go with the people who will keep the group small (unless you are with your dive group)? This is especially important, as a new diver, or a diver getting certified, to gain the confidence and comfort level that you can get from that small group or one-on-one training or check out services. If you are interested in doing your check out dives while in Cozumel after having completed courses elsewhere, contact us and let us work with you. We have great success in children's check out dives and family diving. We'll make your dives comfortable, customized, knowledgeable as well as enjoyable and safe. Again, ask us about our per person rate vs a private/charter group rate. We customize trips to meet your needs.

Albatros is a Scuba Schools International Latin America (SSI LA)Diver Training Facility as well as offering training in Divers Alert Network (DAN)and PADI programs. Albatros Charters is a supporter of DAN and local hyperbaric chamber. We ask you to be a certified diver for the Albatros Charters dive trips, unless you are signed up as one of our students or charter us with your instructor. Cozumel is a great place to consider getting certified for scuba diving.

We also offer a full line of introductory courses, so if you've always wanted to try scuba, now is the time!!

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:

  • It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
  • If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
  • Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
