Itinerary

Day 1

8:30 – 8:50 pick up round from Tiberias Hotels & Tiberias Central Bus Station. (ask us about optional arrivals from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem) Drive north to Mount of Beatitudes site of the "Sermon of the Mount", optional walk (depends on number of participants) or drive down to Tabgha, on the shore of Lake Galilee, to visit the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes. Proceed to Capernaum (Kfar Nahum) the renowned biblical fishermen's village. Drive around the lake to the Eastern Shores to visit Kursi, also known as Gergessa, an ancient village with a partially restored 5th century basilica & monastery commemorating the Miracle of the Gadarene Swine. Lunch break at Kibbutz Ein Gev. From Ein Gev, tour will "leave" the lake's shores & drive up to the southern part of the Golan for some striking views towards the Sea of Galilee, the "Yarmouch River" & the Jordanian – Israeli border. Descend the Golan via scenic route #98 & proceed for a visit at "Yardenit" the Jordan River Baptismal Site. Time allowing, short tour in Kibbutz Degania, to hear the story of the first kibbutz ever to be established. Return to Tiberias.

Take the early morning Egged Bus to Tiberias & we will pick you up from
Tiberias Central Bus Station (by the information booth) @ 08:50 am.
(Bus rides between TLV or JLM to Tiberias take around 2½ to 3 hours)For your return to Tel Aviv or Jerusalem: We drop you off back at Tiberias Central Bus Station in time to catch the evening bus back to TLV or JLM. Ask us about optional transportation between Tel Aviv or Jerusalem to Tiberias
