A favourite day tour, Loch Lomond is an area renowned for its beauty and tranquility that offers picture postcard views at every corner.Loch Lomond must be the worlds most famous Loch and has been written about, both in song and verse.
We start our tour from Glasgow heading north to Loch Lomond the Largest freshwater Loch in the UK.Our first stop is the picturesque village of Luss where you can stroll along the shores of Loch Lomond, take a look around Luss Parish Church and see the 11th century viking graves that lie in the churchyard.
Our next stop will be Balloch where you can take an optional cruise on the Loch.
Our drive continues through Rob Roy MacGregor Country and the Trossachs. The Trossachs are often regarded as the "Highlands in miniature". Here the contrast between Highlands and Lowlands is stark as you leave the pretty village of Aberfoyle to climb the drmatic dukes pass and by Lochs Drunkie, Achray and Vennacher to Kilmahog where we will stop for lunch.
Leaving Kilmahog we will make a short stop to visit our friend Hamish the Hairy Coo(Highland Cattle) and from there we pass through Callander to Doune Castle the film location for Monty Python and the Holy Grail. From Doune Castle we make the short drive to Stirling Castle known as the "Key to Scotland". It's location even rivals Edinburgh Castle for sheer magnificence as it sits high on a volcanic crag which makes it visible for miles around.
There is enough time for a leisurely visit to the Castle where you can hear key moments of the history of Scotland and the battles of Scotlands past including Stirling Bridge where William Wallace defeated the English in 1297 and Bannockburn where Robert the Bruce did the same in 1314.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
