Chauffeur driven tour of Battle of Hastings 1066 country - Battle, Hastings, Rye, Pevensey & Herstmonceux castles. Visit the first Norman church ever built on William's actual Pevensey landing site!
Itinerary
Day 1
Our chauffeur will collect you from your local hotel at about 09.00 hrs
Battle Abbey on the battlefield site is your first great 1066 start point
Onwards to Herstmonceux (from the joining of the local Lady Herst and the Norman Monceux)castle then down to Pevensey, William's landing site, to view the castle ruins and the first Norman church built!
A beautiful drive over to Rye and up the "cobbled" Mermaid Street to the church tower for panoramic views then for some 1066 shopping
A final visit to Hastings old town of "Foyles War" fame before returning to your hotel

Tours usually start in the Hastings area, but can start from London Hotels or from Heathrow/Gatwick and the itinery will be adjusted accordingly.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
