Day 1 - Arrival in Istanbul
Arrive Istanbul and transfer to your hotel where you will meet your guide. Before dinner you will take a walk through the historical Sultanahmet district of Istanbul, having a look at the Hippodrome and the famous Blue Mosque. Overnight in Istanbul. | Day 2 - Istanbul tour
Today, we explore the wonderful sites of Old Istanbul, the only city in the world straddling two continents, Europe and Asia.
After breakfast, visit the Blue Mosque, with its six graceful minarets and famed blue Iznik tiles, the Hippodrome, ancient Roman arena for chariot racing and the Underground Cistern, a subterranean reservoir built in Byzantine times.
After lunch, we visit Topkapi Palace, with its remarkable treasury, and the museum Haghia Sophia, the Church of The Divine Wisdom. Overnight in Istanbul. | Day 3 - Cruise on Istanbul Bosporus, flight to Cappadocia
After a brief visit to the 17th century Spice Bazaar, we embark on an unforgettable cruise along the Bosporus, the beautiful strait that divides Europe from Asia . Winding between wooded hills, it is lined with mosques, castles, 19th century mansions, picturesque villages and the extravagant baroque places of the late Ottoman sultans.
Our tour concludes with a drive along the Bosporus to visit the Sadberk Hanim Museum, Istanbul's best ethnological museum. After tour, you will be transferred to the airport to take a flight to Kayseri .
Arrive in Kayseri and transfer to your hotel in Cappadocia. Overnight in Cappadocia. | Day 4 - Cappadocia tour
Breakfast at the hotel before exploring the lunar landscape of Cappadocia visiting the Devrent Valley, the Pasabag Valley, with is surreal mushrooming pinnacles, and Avanos, renowned for its handmade pottery.
Stop for lunch before continuing to the Citadel of Uchisar and the stunning valley of Goreme and the open air museum, where the remains of churches and early Christian dwellings, hewn from the rock, date back thousands of years.
Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. | Day 5 - Cappadocia tour
Visit the famous rock churches in the red and rose valley and hike the 5 kms through the Gulludere valley.
Visit the houses and churces of the Christian clergymen in the Cavusin village. After lunch in Pigion Valley continue to Kaymakli, the underground city where the early Christians sought refuge.
Finally, visit the natural castle at Ortahisar. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. | Day 6 - Flight to Izmir, Ephesus tour
Transfer to the airport to take a flight to Izmir. After arrival depart for Ephesus & Virgin Mary's House. First, visit the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Then proceed to the Ancient City of Ephesus where you will explore some of the best preserved theatres, fountains and buildings in the world. A definite must while in Turkey . Not to be forgotten is the House of the Virgin Mary on the top of the Mountain, a pilgrimage site for many people of all denominations.
After tour transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Kusadasi. | Day 7 - Drive to Pamukkale, Pamukkale tour
Journey inland to Pamukkale to enjoy the spas, pools, and terraces of this natural wonder, called the "Cotton Castle". This name is truly fitting, the brilliant white calcified terraces truly do resemble a Castle made of Cotton. We also spend time in Hieropolis, with the one of the largest and most diverse necropolis in the world. Overnight in Kusadasi. | Day 8 - Flight to Istanbul
After visits transfer to the airport to take a flight back to Istanbul. Arrive in Istanbul and the end of our services. |
