Join Iberian Traveler and Peña Seattle in Pamplona for one of the Best of Spain, the Fiesta de San Fermín and the encierro, "the running of the bulls", the unique 9-day festival held each year between the 6 and 14 July, introduced to the world in Ernest Hemingway's classic work, "Fiesta" (The Sun Also Rises). Become a part of the fiesta as only Peña Seattle can provide.
Tour program includes balcony reservations on one morning for the encierro, followed by a special buffet breakfast.
Tour packages are available beginning on the 5th of July for up to 10 nights. Listed prices are per person based on double occupancy for our 4-night hotel package.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Pamplona-Iruna the afternoon of the 5th to get ready for the start of the fiesta at noon on 6 July.

Day 2
Join Pena Seattle for the opening ceremony at noon with the firing of the rockets, "el chupinazo", in the Town Hall Plaza, the Plaza Consistorial de Pamplona. Special balcony reservations are available, or you can join the thousands as the fiesta begins amid a sea of bright red panuelicos and a rain of champagne to mark the start of this 9-day event. There is a special celebration lunch available following the opening ceremony.
Day 2
Join Pena Seattle for the opening ceremony at noon with the firing of the rockets, "el chupinazo", in the Town Hall Plaza, the Plaza Consistorial de Pamplona. Join us on a VIP balcony for the first encierro, the "Running of the Bulls", which commence on 7 July at 08:00 and continue each morning through the 14th, thus eight days of the encierro. We will be having a special breakfast in the Nuevo Casino, a private social club above the historic Iruna Cafe of Hemingway fame. Following breakfast, you have the opportunity to join the religious procession of Pamplona's famed patron saint, San Fermin. The procession begins at the Capilla de San Fermin after a 10:00 mass and slowly winds its way through the narrow streets of the old city accompanied by the official city band, city dignitaries, hundreds of Pamplonicas and the Gigantes and Cabequdos (giants and big heads).

The festival offers everything from traditional Basque folk music to rock and jazz. Concerts begin at noon daily in Plazas Consistorial, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, San Jose, Los Fueros and in the Paseo de Sarasate, continuing until the early morning hours.
