Day 1 - Parador in Limpias. 1st day. Sunday.
The town is home to the parish church of San Pedro. In the surrounding area there are any number of interesting towns, such as Laredo, Castrourdiales and Santoña. Another option is to make the natural surroundings the focal point of your trip, with visits to the Cabarceno Nature Reserve or Ansón Valley.
| Day 2 - Parador in Limpias. 2nd day. Sunday.
Santander and Bilbao, with the Guggenheim Museum, are other attractions to discover. | Day 3 - Parador de Santillana. 3th day. Tuesday.
Santillana del Mar is a true treasure for travelers. Its streets, palaces and large homes, the collegiate church of Sta. Juliana, and museums such as the Regina Coello Religious Art Museum all wait to be discovered. A journey of discovery into our past at the Altamira Neo-Cave and its museum should not be missed. Other recommendations include Comillas, Santander and the Cabarceno Nature Reserve. Other interesting possibilities along your route toward Asturias are El Sobrao Cave and towns such as San Vicente de la Barquera. | Day 4 - Parador in Cangas de Onís. 4th day. Wednesday.
These lands are the foremost expression of the essence of Asturias. In the town of Cangas de Onis we recommend visiting the Roman bridge, Santa Cruz Chapel and Cortés Palace. Near Picos de Europa National Park you can visit Casa Dago (visitors center for the Picos de Europa Nature Reserve). The Royal Residence of Covadonga is another of the area’s highlights, along with the nearby Covadonga Lakes (Enol and Ercina), and the route of the Cares River. | Day 5 - Parador in Gijón. 5th day. Thrusday.
Historic, commercial, industrial, where the sea, the gentle mountains and the city come together to create one of the most attractive urban areas in northern Spain. San Lorenzo Beach, the esplanade, the marina, the Semana Negra (Black Week) festival, an active social life and festive atmosphere all invite visitors to discover the city. However, its attractions are not limited to those already mentioned, Gijón has a network of museums and a multiplicity of cultural offerings, including an international film festival and Latin American Book Show. Some of the town’s museums are noteworthy for their originality, among them the Railroad Museum (Museo del Ferrocarril), the International Bagpipe Museum, while others preserve its illustrious past, the Birthplace of Jovellanos, Nicanor Piñole Museum, Revillagigedo Palace, among others. | Day 6 - Parador in Ribadeo. 6th day. Friday.
This Galician seaside town lies on the border between Galicia and Asturias. The end of the route offers us a much-needed rest, and the opportunity to discover places of great beauty, including various beaches, especially Catedrales Beach and those along the Ria of Ribadeo. We also recommend San Damián Fort, do Santos Bridge and the nearby town of Castropol. | Day 7 - Parador in Vilalba. 7th day. Saturday.
