Penedes Gran Reserva Exclusive Wine and Gastronomy Tour

BARCELONA - PENEDES WINE COUNTRY - BARCELONA
- 08:00AM: Collect from Barcelona, luxury transfer to Penedès
- 09:00AM: Traditional Catalan breakfast to get the strength up! Gourmet
treats include Butifarra sausage, locally produced artisan cheeses and olive
oils, homemade pastries served with Café con Leche or with a spot of bubbly if
you prefer. Breakfast at one of the following; Cal Pau Xim, Ordal
/ Bar Coral, Vilafranca / El Casino, Sant Sadurni
- 10:00AM: Arrive to first winery. VIP private walking tour of the lovely
vineyards, followed by a tour of the barriques, cellars and of course a
fantastic wine tasting of the best wines on offer (4 wines). You'll also receive
a wine gift, signed by the famous winemaker! First wineries would be
on of the following; Can Rafols dels Caus (boutique), Albet i Noya
(organic), Cavas Llopart, Mas Comtal (Merlot pioneers), Can
Fontanals de Avinyo (artisans), Gramona (Gran reserva cavas),
Castellroig (designer wines), Pere Ventura (gothic), Privat,
Codorniu, Raventos i Blanc, Masia Torreblanca, Can Feixes
(classic pioneers)
- 12:00AM-01:30PM: Tour Penedès, La Llacuna, Guardiola de Font Rubi,
Vilafranca del Penedès.
01:30-03:30PM: Wonderful traditional lunch in historic venue, with wood
fired ovens. Typical dishes include slow cooked duck with plums and wild
mushrooms
Lunch at one of the following; Masia Aran, Can Joan, Cal Ton,
Cal Pau Xim, La Posada, Sumoll, Sol i Vi, El Celler
Vell, La Fabrica (Japanese/Catalan fusion).
- 04:00PM: Travel to second winery/cava
- 04:00-05:00PM: Second VIP winery visit, to an exclusive boutique Cava
winery, producing some of the best bubbly in Spain. You'll visit the cellars
full of the wooden pyramids called “Pupitres” where the Cavas are “riddled”
before “degorgement”. Private tour with the winemakers themselves. Fun and
informative tasting. Visit will be one of the following; La Xarmada
(kosher), Colet (boutique), Pares Balta, Can Feixes (higher
ground), Cavas Hill, Vallformosa, Bodegas Torres, Roses
Vila (organic), Pere Mata, Cavas Nadal (dessert wines),
Ferret.
- 05:00-06:00PM: Then you will go to Sitges for a short stroll around before
returning to Barcelona
- 07:00PM: Sit back and relax while you transfer back to Barcelona.
- 08:00PM: Drop off back at your hotel and this will conclude one of the
most unique, luxurious and fun wine tours you could hope to experience in Spain.

your hotel this morning
- 10:00AM: Breakfast in Suriana, spectacular views of Prades Mountains,
Priorat, Cornudella
- 10:30AM: Visit Scala Dei, wineries and Cistercian monastery
ruins
- 11:30AM: Visit Clos d'Abac, old hand, great variety / Mas
Igneus, new age ecologic
- 01:30PM: Lunch with wine-tasting at La Font, Gratallops,
El Celler de l'Aspic, Falset, Mas Trucafort, Falset.
(Winery visit Gratallops, choice of 6 wineries)
- 04:00PM: Drive to Bellmunt del Priorat Visit lead mines
Visit Mas d'en Gil winery, polished / Primitiu garage / Pinord
Mas Blanc, no compromise
- 05.30PM: Visit Falset / Porrera, wine shops, café, best bar at the end
of the universe
- Drive to Barcelona (via Sitges)
- 07:00PM: Sit back and relax while you transfer back to
Barcelona.
- 08:30PM: Drop off back at your hotel and this will conclude one of the
