Discover the history of Barcelona’s cuisine, as well as some of its flagship restaurants and food outlets, on this guided walking tour of the city's old town with a wonderful lunch to round the day. A tour where you can enjoy the flavours and history of our excellent gastronomy and discover the city's history as you stroll through the Gothic Quarter, one of the best preserved medieval districts in the world.
Visit La Boqueria Market, which is the most well known market in Spain, opened in 1836. La Boqueria Market sells a wide variety of local produce, such as vegetables, fish, meat, fruit, as well as foods from all over the world and even insects!
Also on the itinerary is "Tostaderos Casa Gispert", specialized in roasting coffee and nuts. Opened in 1851, the shop retains its original furniture and old wood-burning oven: the only one of its kind in Europe.
During your walking tour you will also visit shops specializing in wine, chocolate and pastries. You will have the chance to try samples of traditional Catalan products, such as fruits in La Boqueria Market, and wine at the end of the tour in the Winery "La Vinya del Senyor" (a glass of wine and a Catalan Tapa).
At the end of the tour you will be able to enjoy a wonderful 5 course lunch. The lunch consists in a great aperitif, starters, main course, bread, dessert, wine and water.
