Alella's white, flowery wines and its lesser known red ones come from a very old vineyard area.
* Individuals: Take the bus from Barcelona city centre to the winery. 30 minutes. Must purchase your own ticket in the bus.
* Visit to a modernist winery with tasting.
The cellar was established in 1906 and they make wine and cava (Spanish Champagne). There are only a few centenary cellars in Spain that offer you the possibility to visit their elaboration process.
From the different varieties that are cultivated in all the D.O. of Alella, until the transport from the grape to the cellar, the selection the grubbing, etc.... is some of the phases that take part in the fascinating process for the elaboration of their wines. Centennial warehouse, through where the history of a town has gone by, emblematic building constructed by of the more excellent modernist Architects of the time.
* At the end of the visit we will be able to do a tasting of one of their white flowery wines.
* Lunch at the winery restaurant with tasting of red, white and cavas wines. The lunch consists in a great aperitif of 6 dishes, main course, bread, dessert, coffee, wines, and water.
* All winery visits are quite extensive and include full tour of the premises, complete explanations of how their wines are made, wine tasting, etc... |
