Day 1

ROUTING: BUCHAREST : VATRA DORNEI (BUCOVINA)
- Upon arrival to Bucharest international airport meet with your English-Speaking specialist tour guide
- We then depart for Northern Romania, Bucovina
- Dinner
- Overnight in Vatra Dornei
ACCOMMODATION: Hotel 3*** (mountain resort rich in mineral waters)

Day 2

ROUTING: VATRA DORNEI - NEAGRA SARULUI - PIETRELE ROSII
- After breakfast we depart to Neagra Sarului village to start our horse back riding itinerary
- In the morning we will have 3 to 4 hours riding and a half an hour walking up to "12 Apostoli" : The 12 Apostles, geological reserve, of about 200 ha, consisting in 12 strange rock formations, like 12 statues carved by wind and rains
- Picnic lunch
- In the afternoon we head towards Pietrele Roºii : The Red Stones, for another 2 to 3 hours riding
- Here we camp for the night
- Dinner
- Overnight in Pietrele Roºii

Day 3

ROUTING: PIETRELE ROSII - POIANA IZOARE - IZVOARELE DORNEI
- Breakfast
- Then we will go on a 3 hour ride towards Poiana Izvoare
- Picnic lunch
- Continue for 4 hours riding towards Izvoarele Dornei : Dorna's Sources.
- Here we camp for the night
- Dinner
- Overnight in Izvoarele Dornei

Day 4

ROUTING: IEZARUL CALIMANILOR LAKE - CALIMANU CERULUI - NEAGRA SARULUI - VATRA DORNEI
- After breakfast we go for 3 hours riding to Cãlimanu Cerbului
- Here we stop for lunch and a little rest
- In the afternoon we have another 3 to 4 hours ride, in order to return to the starting point of our trip, Neagra ªarului
- In the evening transfer back to Vatra Dornei for dinner
- Overnight in Vatra Dornei
ACCOMMODATION: Hotel 3***
FBROUTING: IZVOARELE DORNEI - CALIMANI MOUNTAINS - IEZARUL CALIMANILOR LAKE
- Breakfast
- Start in the day with a 2 to 3 hour ride on the route Izvoarele Dornei : Strunior : Pietrosu Peak : the highest peak in Cãlimani Mountains, 2110 m
- Picnic lunch
- We continue for about 3 hours riding up to Iezerul Calimanilor Lake, natural dam lake, inhabited by trout fish, now an important reserve
- Here we camp for the night
- Dinner
- Overnight in Iezerul Calimanilor Lake

Day 5

ROUTING: IEZARUL CALIMANILOR LAKE - CALIMANU CERULUI - NEAGRA SARULUI - VATRA DORNEI
- After breakfast we go for 3 hours riding to Cãlimanu Cerbului
- Here we stop for lunch and a little rest
- In the afternoon we have another 3 to 4 hours ride, in order to return to the starting point of our trip, Neagra ªarului
- In the evening transfer back to Vatra Dornei for dinner
- Overnight in Vatra Dornei

- After breakfast transfer to Bucharest airport and final good-bye from your tour leader

Equestrian travel is a way to practice a fascinating sport and at the same time a way to interact with the locals and with the local nature and culture. Our equestrian tours, which can be from one up to six days long, are tailored for small groups (2 to 8 persons), both for beginners and for good riders. The group should be homogenous and decide from the beginning the desired level of difficulty.

Romania Tours - Horse Riding through the Calimani Mountains of BucovinaAll tours take place in a National Park in the North-East of the country (Cãlimani Mountains), characterized by wilderness and untouched nature. Some of the routes go up to more than 2000 m of altitude, through wild sceneries and unbeaten tracks.

Romania Tours - Horse Riding through the Calimani Mountains of BucovinaCalimani National Park - Calimani Mountains are the highest massif in the Romanian volcanic chain (2100 m Pietrosu Cãlimanului Peak), the main type of rock is andesite; and the traces of the old craters are still visible. This mountain chain used to be the border of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

The tour includes 6 days horseback riding in Calimani National Park (in the North-East of the country) with accommodation in tents and all necessary equipment for horseback riding and 2 days with transfers and some visits and accommodation in 3*** hotels.
