Day by day itinerary:
Day 1
Arrive at Bucharest's Henri Coanda International Airport and transfer by luxury van to the Delta Nature Resort (180 miles). Drive through picturesque countryside villages to arrive at the resort in time for a briefing by our fishing experts at the Exploration Centre. Day 2
Set off by boat for a full day's fishing trip; travel to Periprahava on the Ukrainian border in search of cat fish. Trophies - catches of 80 kilogram and above are not unusual here. We will also experiment with the traditional "tonk" fishing methods used by the Lipovan fishing community for cat fish. We will fish throughout the day breaking for lunch which consists of freshly grilled sturgeon and the traditional Romanian fisherman's borscht. We return to the resort in time for dinner.
Day 3
The morning is spent to fish for pike, carp, perch and zander in the Somova-Parches lakes, close to the Delta Nature Resort. We then find our way by boat to the Saon Monastery for lunch with the nuns. After lunch and a trip around the monastery we take you by road to the Badila Wine Cellars at the Niculetel Vineyard, here we sample some special wines of the area. We return to the resort and have a few hours to relax before dinner.
Day 4
Today, we will spend the full day fishing for carp and pike in the main arms of the Danube and its tributaries around an area called Mila 32. An advance team will have prepared the fishing spots. Carp weighing as much as 20 kg and pike of 5 kg are often fished here. Lunch will be taken at the fishing spot. We return to the resort in time for a special caviar dinner.
