Day 1

ROUTING: MIKLOSVAR

- On arrival in Miklósvár you will be greeted by one of our team, who will
provide you with information on the activities available during your stay.
Before dinner in the cellar of the main house, you might want to take a stroll
around the village.

Day 3

Skiing. During the day you can ski at Poiana Brasov resort. A free shuttle gets you there in about one hour, situated at 1900 m altitude with 13 trails in all range of difficulties, an average annual snowfall of 70 cm, 8 drag lifts , 3 cable cars, 1 skating yard, 2 sledge pist s . The longest slope is 3.8 km long. In the evening you will return to our cozy Miklosvar cottage .

Day 4

Tracking in the wild. After snowfall our wildlife guide will let you discover the traces of all large and small carnivores and mammals (incl. bear, wolf, lynx, etc) and observe birds you might not see in other parts of Europe.

Day 5

Horse-sleigh riding. We have several sleighs in our village. You will be taken for a ride equipped with a fur blanket and muffs to keep your hands and knees warm . Our guests often see deer and other animals during their ride.

Day 6

The ice gorge and cave. You can cross the river on the ice to reach the Pied Piper's cave. In it's entrance hall hundreds of man-high stalagmites of ice are growing, resembling transparent-blue shapes of children.

Day 7

Snow-shoeing. We usually have such heavy snow, that hiking becomes impossible during winter. Our snow-shoes will help you discover our fairy tale landscape and wilderness.

Day 8

Culture. And, of course, all of our cultural sites can also be visited in winter. Our vehicles are well equipped for winter conditions.

Winter is the most beautiful season in Transylvania. It usually lasts from the end of October to the beginning of April. You not only feel to have been transferred into a fairytale, but also have the impression of time standing still.

But don't worry, we'll keep you active!

NOTES: The guesthouse offers a wide range of cultural and nature tours each week, therefore you can design your Transylvanian holiday according to your interests and length of stay. During a two-week stay, for example, you will be able to participate in nearly all the tours on offer. Mountain bikes are available for the use of the guests. For those interested in hiking, we offer walking activities (for different levels of fitness), which can also be combined with culture/nature tours to suit your preferences.

Please note this due to circumstances beyond our control; the following itinerary may be subject to change. In particular, some of the nature activities may vary in accordance with the season, the weather and the opportunities available to observe wildlife. No sightings of wild animals, such as wolves and bears are guaranteed, and we cannot restrict their natural movements nor indeed would we wish to.
