DAY BY DAY ITINERARY
DAY 1, October 31, Cluj-Napoca – Sighisoara
Welcome to Romania! Our guide connects with you at Cluj Napoca Airport. Drive to the medieval Saxon citadel of Sighisoara, UNESCO heritage site, but probably most important for you, Vlad Dracula's birth place!
It’s time for your Halloween party, put on your costume and get into the mood, this is the reason for your travel to Transylvania. Plenty of opportunities for you tonight: buy After-life Insurance, the Count's Fortune-teller will be at your disposal, witness the apparition of Vlad Tepes performed by a witch and listen to your guide’s good advice, and you might just escape without being impaled!
If you survive, you’ll find refuge in a lovely 3* hotel.
| Day 2 - November 1, Sighisoara - Biertan - Medias - Turda
Today you’ll learn more about Transylvania by visiting not only interesting sights and cities but also meeting its people and seeing its rituals. In Medias, become acquainted with a unique artist, the only one in the world who uses spider webs for his paintings. The next stop is Biertan, a beautiful Saxon village home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the fortified church of Biertan, the best known from all the Saxon churches. Travel next to Turda, a small town dating back to the Roman period, a place where you’ll put your existence to the test! Descend to the heart of one of the oldest salt mines in the country, Turda Salt Mines. Delight yourself with a vampire menu for dinner. Still, an evening to fear, you’ll attend The Ritual of Killing of a Living Dead; you’ll be part of the crowd seeking to take the living dead to a special place where the ritual can begin!
