- There are many ways to get to know a culture, but few are as pleasurable as eating and drinking.
Romania is a country where traditions are still alive and where the way people in the countryside eat has not been influenced very much in the last hundreds of years.
We want to offer you a relaxing, fun and easy way to explore our exciting and vibrant country, through its inhabitants most loved way to spend their time: eating and drinking.
Wine and Gastronomy Tour of RomaniaWe can plan theme tours, including visits to small local producers or peasants houses, and even short cooking lessons. We suggest a guided tour of a sheepfold, where you can see the way the sheapards prepare the cheese (the same technology used by their ancestors) and also all of their food, a guided tour in a peasant's household to see them in action, and of course a guided tour in a wine cellar, to see the whole process of wine making.
Wine and Gastronomy Tour of RomaniaThe famous Sarmale with Mamaliga (a kind of polenta) and sour cream, tripe soup, Mititei (a kind of sausage), special cheese pie called Poale-n brâu - all these accompanied by Palinca (plum brandy) and traditional wine, make a specific, rich and delicious Romanian lunch.

It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
