Enjoy 3 hours of instructed painting in the beautiful Quinta Magnolia of Funchal on Madeira Island. The art course covers drawing techniques, composition guidelines and painting techniques.(max 4pp.)
Itinerary
Day 1
3 hours 9am - 12pm (with 15 minute coffee break)
9:00 am - Meet at the entrance of Quinta Magnolia: Meet instructor, Katrina Clark ( receive supplies
9:15 - Demonstration of drawing techniques and composition guidelines.
9:30 - Drawing 1 begins
9:40 - Drawing 2 begins
9:50 - Discussion of Drawings
10:00 - Painting Demonstration
10:10 - Painting Composition sketches
10:30 - Coffee Break
10:45 - Begin Painting
11:45 - Discuss paintings
12:00 - Enjoy your artwork

- Coffee break treats. There is a small poolside cafe where coffee, sandwiches, ice creams, etc. can be purchased.

If you have an idea of a subject specifically that you would like to paint, bring pictures or objects that apply. Or specify before hand and your instructor will provide images.
Quinta Magnolia has a library, pool and tennis courts for use. The pool has a daily rate, and the tennis courts have an hourly rate.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
