A cultural program especially designed to experience Poland's rich cultural heritage. Explore the cities of Warsaw and Cracow as well as visit Gdansk and Czestochowa.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Warsaw.
Arrive at Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport. Your driver will meet and transfer you to your hotel. Check-in upon arrival. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax and savor the atmosphere of this historic city, considered as the center of Polish art, science and culture for over a thousand years.

Day 2
In Warsaw.
Breakfast at your hotel.
Your morning sightseeing tour takes you to the main sites of Warsaw. During your city tour, you will get a general impression of Poland's capital completed by walks and inside visit to Wilanow Palace, the baroque residence of King John III Sobieski, the famous conqueror of the Turks at the battle of Vienna in 1683 (on Tuesdays â Palace on the Water). By bus you pass the Royal Route with its aristocratic residences, historic churches and famous statues. Historical sites as the Ghetto Memorial, the Monument of Warsaw Uprising, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Grand Theater, Chopin's monument, the Belvedere Palace and then get all the way to the Old Town. Here you enjoy a wailing tour passing the Castle Square, King Sigismund's Column, St. John's Cathedral, the Old Town Market Square and the Barbican. The afternoon is free to explore on your own.

Day 3
In Warsaw. Full-day excursion to Gdansk and Malbork.

Your excursion starts with a 3,5 hour express train ride from Warsaw to the old Hanseatic town of Gdansk. Located by the Baltic Sea, Gdansk is Poland's principal seaport. During your visit you will see the historic complex of the Main and Old Towns as well as see the largest brick church in the world, St. Mary's Church. In the afternoon, visit Malbork â the famous largest fortress of the Teutonic Knights Order. A splendid example of the classic medieval fortress with multiple defensive walls. Labyrinth of rooms and chambers with exquisite architectural details and decorations. Return to Warsaw afterwards.

Day 4
In Warsaw. Full-day at leisure.
Breakfast at your hotel.
A full day at leisure in Warsaw for independent activities. In the evening, enjoy a Polish dinner in a traditional restaurant accompanied by a folklore show program.

Day 5
Warsaw - Cracow.
After breakfast, depart Warsaw by train to the historic city of Cracow. The rest of the day at leisure. (Note: transfers to and from train station not included.)

Day 6
In Cracow.
Breakfast at your hotel.
Your morning sightseeing tour takes you to the main sites of Cracow. The tour begins with a short walk along the streets of the former Jewish district of Kazimierz. The cardinal point is Wawel Castle, which was home to many Polish kings and was the centre of royalty power up till the 17th century. The nearby Cathedral played the important role as a coronation place of successive Polish monarchs and a crypt is also the final resting place for many of them too. Walk up the Grodzka street to the heart of Cracow â the Main Market Square with the large gothic Cloth Hall â a perfect place for shopping. Your sightseeing will also include St. Mary's Church with its famous medieval altar by Wit Stwosz. The afternoon is free to explore on your own.

Day 7
In Cracow. Half-day excursion to Wieliczka Salt Mine.

The town of Wieliczka is famous for one of the oldest salt mines in Europe, which has been in operation for at least 700 years. The oldest part of the mine is opened to the public as a museum. Your tour will take you through the galleries, chambers and chapels on three levels. All altarpieces, figures and monuments are carved in salt. The highlight is the richly ornamented Chapel of St. Kinga.

Day 8
In Cracow. Full-day Excursion to Czestochowa.

Drive to Czestochowa, Poland's national shrine and the icon which has drawn pilgrims from across the globe for centuries. The monastery of Jasna Gora is home to the miraculous Black Madonna, a Gothic painting of Our Lady. Your visit of the monastery includes the Miraculous Picture Chapel and the Basilica. On the way back to Cracow, you will drive along the Eagles Nests' route. This once important strategic system of watchtowers and castles are today mainly in ruins.

In Cracow. Full-day at leisure.

- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
