And after the mine trip - try something really special… traditional Silesian cousine!
After the first part the trip, we’ll keep you amazed as you are going to be taken to Katowice to see the Superunit – the biggest block of flats in Poland, built in the crazy 70’s, an architectural monster where life still exists! The original building is a monument of socialist architecture, it holds 762 apartments and is surrounded by slowly disappearing socialist realism of Katowice's city center.
Finally before coming back to the hotel we'll visit the Silesian Heroes Estates –
NIKISZOWIEC. Located in the east part of Katowice, Nikiszowiec represents an original building style of working class residental areas from the beginning of the 20th century.
Like a city inside a city, the district resembles a form similar to medieval castles, especially with it's unique entry gates and a market square in the middle. |
