Travel by boat and train and discover the beauty of Norway on this independent tour. Experience the UNESCO city of Bergen, Sognefjord, the resort town of Geilo, and Oslo, the Norwegian Capital.
Itinerary
Day 1
ARRIVAL BERGEN.
Independent transfers to your hotel. Check-in upon arrival. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax and enjoy the historic city of Bergen.

Day 2
IN BERGEN.
This morning take a 3hours guided sightseeing tour of Bergen. The tour starts with a visit to Fantoft Stave Church, which was originally built 1150, but reconstructed after a fire in 1992. Afterwards the tour continues to Troldhaugen, Edvard Grieg's home for 22 years. On the way back to the city centre we stop on top of Nattlandsfjellet, one of Bergen's best panoramic viewpoints. The tour ends in the centre of Bergen at Tourist information and Fløibanen. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 3
BERGEN - FLAM.
Morning departure from Bergen. Take the express boat north through the narrow sounds and beautiful skerries up to Sognefjord, Norway's longest fjord, and continuing up the dramatic Aurlandsfjord to Flam. short walk from the pier will take you to your hotel. Check-in upon arrival. At 3pm, board a RIB (rigid inflated boat) boat and enjoy a 1,5 hours fjord safari. Head out through the Aurlandsfjord and onwards to Beitelen, a characteristic mountain, which is located where the fjord divides into different branches, and from where you can enjoy a beautiful view towards the dramatic Naeroyfjord. You will make frequent stops to spot for wildlife and your guide will tell you about the fascinating natural- and cultural history of the area.

Day 4
FLAM - GEILO.
Morning at leisure. After check-out, walk to the train station where you will board the Flam Railway, the steepest and most spectacular railroad in Europe. At Myrdal, you will change train and continue your journey to the famous ski resort of Geilo. Check-in at your hotel upon arrival. Free time in the afternoon to relax or explore the surrounding area. Dinner will be served at your hotel.

Day 5
GEILO - OSLO.
This morning continue your train journey to Oslo, the Norwegian capital. Afternoon arrival at Oslo Central Station. Transfer to your hotel on your own. The rest of the day at leisure.

Day 6
IN OSLO.
A full day to explore this exciting city situated at the head of the Oslo Fjord and surrounded by forested ridges. There are many things to see and experience - Vigeland Park with its impressive sculptures by Norwegian artist Gustaf Vigeland, Holmenkollen Ski Museum and Ski Jump Tower, Viking Ship Museum, Kon-Tiki Museum and many more. Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
