The Alcantara Valley is full of interesting places to visit. Our first stop will be at the delightful gorge, that was first discovered in the 1950's. Here it is possible to go down to the river with an elevator.
From Motta Camastra, a small village on the mountainside we will have a very nice wiev over the valley.
In Casteglione di Sicilia we will park the car and walk the narrow alleys to the norman castle. Going down the hillside we will reach Liparus, a wineyard restaurant where we will have our long, sicilian lunch (skip breakfast this morning..).
In the afternoon we pay a visit to one of the famous wineproducers in Sicily. |
