Itinerary
Day 1
Airport : Vizitsa
Your guide meets you at the airport to transfer you to your hotel in Vizitsa village, 30 km east of Volos. Once you have checked in, you can walk around Vizitsa to explore the village with the traditional stone houses of Pelion. Dinner and overnight
stay at Vizitsa.
Day 2
Vizitsa : Pinakates : Kala Nera : Vizitsa
We start our trek by walking to Pinakates village. One of the few traditional stone-built houses left in this region. Afterwards we follow an old stone path and make our way to the Kala Nera beach. You are able to swim in the Pagasitikos Gulf and we will eat lunch at a small restaurant in Kala Nera. Dinner and overnight stay at Vizitsa.
Day 3
Vizitsa : Milies: Ksourichti : Tsangarada - Damouchari
On today's hike we cross Mount Pelion from West to East. We start to walk for about 10 minutes until we get to the village of Milies. We then head to Ksourichti via the forest road (at the beginning of the path) through chestnut trees. Before we continue
our hike to Tsangarada village and hear the stories from the oldest plane tree in Greece, more than 1200 years old, we will have our picnic beside a lovely white painted chapel on the hillside. After that, we will descend to Damouchari beach with the help of one of the most beautiful old stone paths. Dinner and overnight stay at Damouchari.
Day 4
Damouchari : Fakistra - Damouchari
From Damouchari we take the coastal path that follows the sea and which takes us to Fakistra beach with crystal clear waters to have our picnic and swim. During the walk we have a magnificent view at the Aegean Sea. Late in the afternoon we will return along the same path to Damouchari. Dinner and overnight stay at Damouchari.
Day 5
Damouchari : Agios Ioannis : Kissos - Chania
We start from Damouchari in the opposite direction towards Agios Ioannis with another magnificent beach Papa Nero and follow the path along the shore. There is an opportunity to jump into the provocative and alluring waters before we start our climb to Chania. On route we will pass from Kissos village and have our picnic in the chestnut tree forest. The hard walk finishes just below the ski station of Pelion and traverse to rejoin the track and descend to the village of Chania. Dinner and overnight stay in Chania.
Day 6
Chania : Agriolefkes - Chania
From our guesthouse in Chania we follow the road up to the ski centre at 1580m and from there we will enjoy the fantastic views of both the Aegean Sea and the Pagasitikos Gulf. We continue through the forest of aspen and beech trees in a circular route back to Chania. Dinner and overnight stay in Chania.
Day 7
Chania : Makrinitsa
Today we will follow the path that in Greek mythology was used by the Centaurs, who were half man half horse. This leads us to
the village of Portaria and then we continue along the road to Makrinitsa, which the local people call the Balcony of Pelion. Here we'll see the old traditional houses and the best view of the Pagasitikos Gulf with the city of Volos. Dinner and overnight stay in Makrinitsa.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
