Mount Olympus with its many tops and forests is the highest mountain in Greece (2917 meters). At Meteora monasteries are built on impressive rocks, but monkhood already began around the 8th C.A.C.
Itinerary
Day 1
Airport : KastrakiYour guide meets you at the airport to transfer you to your hotel in the village of Kastraki in central Greece. Once settled into your room, we have the option to visit a church or take a stroll around the village. Dinner and overnight stay in Kastraki.
Day 2
Kastraki : Askitaria : Agio Pnevma : Megalo Meteoro : KastrakiWe start by walking through the towering pinnacles of rock to discover how the first people climbed to the top. Afterwards we ascend to the Holy Spirit (for people with vertigo it is recommendable to wait at the bottom). We will have our picnic in the shade of the rocks and in the afternoon we shall visit the Megalo Meteoro. Then we return to our guest house. Dinner and overnight stay in Kastraki
Day 3
Kastraki : NeochoriAfter breakfast we will visit the oldest church in Greece in the city of Kalambaka and then with own transportation towards Lake Plastira and the village of Neochori. Once we have put our luggage into our rooms at the guest house, we will walk and we have a swim in the lake. Picnic next to the lake and then return to the guest house in Neochori. Dinner and overnight stay in Neochori
Day 4
NeochoriOne of the nicest walks in this area with views of the lake, as we take the trail up to the forest. Picnic during the hike and return for the night in Neochori. Dinner and overnight stay in Neochori.
Day 5
Neochori : Prionia : Zolotas RefugeFrom Neochori we drive to Mount Olympus. Our transport leaves us at Prionia and we start the three hour trek to the refuge of Zolotas. We will only take the necessary things we need for two nights. The rest we will find in the guest house at Litochoro the last night. Dinner and overnight stay at Zolotas Refuge.
Day 6
Zolotas Refuge : Skala : Skolio : Zolotas RefugeAfter breakfast we will start the day under the watchful eye of Zeus and the other Gods from Greek Mythology. We climb to Skala peak and after that to the peak of Skolio. The view from the top of Greece is magical. Picnic and return to Zolotas refuge the same route. Dinner and overnight stay in Zolotas.
Day 7
Zolotas Refuge : Prionia : Enipeas gorge : LitochoroWe descend from the refuge of Zolotas and return to the place of Prionia. From there we go inside to Enipeas Gorge, one of the best walks in Greece. We have an opportunity to plunge into nice refreshing natural pools inside the gorge and we finish the trek in the village of Litochoro. Dinner and overnight stay in Litochoro.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.
- If at all suspicious of fraud, ask to see their website, or any other literature they can provide or send to you. Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
