Itinerary
Day 1
After arrival in Burgundy, having settled into your 4* hotel, you will enjoy a guided visit of the historic Hospice de Beaune, followed by an introduction to wine tasting with our wine expert. Dinner will be enjoyed in a 1* Michelin restaurant in Beaune.
Day 2
Today you will have an introduction to the wines of the Cote de Nuits, visiting three top domaines as well as the famous Chateau de Clos de Vougeot. After a delicious lunch in a local wine village, you will visit the renowned vineyards of Romanee Conti, as well as a drive through such renowned villages as Gevrey Chambertin, Chambolle Musigny and Nuits St Georges. Dinner this evening will be an excellent restaurant referred to as the 'insiders' secret restaurant
Day 3
This morning you are free to visit the fabulous Beaune open market, the mustard museum and the charming shops and restaurants in Beaune. After lunch, there will be a visit and wine tasting at a well known Beaune negociant before setting off for the village of Fixin where we will be able to admire an artisan barrel maker at work. Dinner will be at your own choice and leisure on the first of your two free evenings.
Day 4
The Cote and Hautes Cotes de Beaune vineyards will be the focus for today, visiting such villages as Meursault, Puligny Montrachet and Volnay. During the morning we will taste in Meursault and thenb visit the cellars and vineyards of a well known winegrower, followed by a tasting lunch with 15 wines. A leisurely drive to the Hautes Cotes vineyards with time for a short walk, will be followed by our final tasting in Volnay. Our superb dinner this evening will be in a 3* Michelin restaurant in Cote Chalonnaise.
Day 5
For day five we shall be discovering the wines of Cote Chalonnaise and tasting with three talented winegrowers. A highlight of today will be our wine tasting in a historic, still family owned chateau followed by a gourmet picnic if good weather prevails. A scenic drive through the Cote Chalonnaise vineyards before return to Beaune, where you have the second of your free evenings to dine where you wish, with our recommendations
Day 6
This morning we set off for the Chablis vineyards, tasting wines with two carefully chosen winegrowers. After a light lunch in Chablis, we depart for the town of Vezelay where a visit to the spectacular Basilic will be on the menu. After checking into our chateau hotel for the evening, we make our way to the famous L'Esperance of Marc Meneau for our final gastronomic farewell dinner.
Day 7
Departure this morning at your leisure from Auxerre or from Dijon.

Important Notice : Avoiding Fraud
It's rare, but some helpful hints to watch out for with regards to fraud:
- It is important to NEVER wire funds or use/employ other fund transfer mechanisms such as western union: Always use a credit card to protect yourself against fraud. If owners pressure you into providing a deposit or refuse to accept credit cards, there is a high probability that this is a scam.

Ask them for contact details for guests who have previously stayed on their property insisting on telephone numbers. Be suspicious of emails that originate from free email services (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc)
- Research the property thoroughly on the internet to see if there is any history or mention of scams associated with the property.
