Day 1
Visit of NIMES : great city of the arts, proud of its prestigious Roman past, see the antique buildings : the amphitheatre (entrance included) and the « Maison Carrée » (one of the best preserved temples in the Roman world), the Augustus's gate, the Castellum (water distribution station).
UZES, wonderful medieval town and the first Duchy of France, set in the garrigues countryside (mediterranean vegetation).Uzès has preserved its lay-out as a medieval stronghold, embellished in the 17th and 18 th centuries.
PONT DU GARD : amazing vestige of a 1st century Roman aqueduct protected by the UNESCO.
